That is the lesson we should take from the life of Dr. Jacob Jack Kevorkian, who died June 3 at the age of 83. As he once said, Dying is not a crime. Say there libertycause13 (maybe you will read this from off-line).
Dying is not a crime, but killing and murder are crimes. Get the difference?
Ever hear of, "Thou shalt not kill"? FYI, it's a commandment brought down from the Mount by Moses. That law -- from God -- extends from the beginning of life to natural death.

Hey, TOL. You beat me by a post (or two).

So long as the troll guts get cleaned up, nobody cares. It’s up to us, but in this case, it’s just a pile of ashes.

Unless you gave yourself life, you are not morally justified in taking it. How do you give yourself life?

This article went beyond suicide and went into physician assisted suicide, which is IMHO zot worthyYes, it is written that any Freeper that postest newsprint that acknowlegdes physician assisted suicide (PAS) shall be zotted.

You cannot. Hence you have no right to take it.

I don’t think there is a greater affront to life, or the sanctity of life than physician assisted suicide. I recently watched a documentary on the effect it has had in Washington. While the documentary was heavily biased in favor of physician assisted suicide, I left with one part that I thought shut the rest of the movie down.
The state of Washington sent a guy with what surely terminal late stage prostate cancer a letter saying that the state would not pay for surgery, but it would however pay should he seek a doctor willing to help him end his life.
No one can tell me that’s not pressure. Any decision to kill ones self under those circumstances is by default under duress.

‘Unless you gave yourself life, you are not morally justified in taking it’
So it’s morally justified sometimes to take another’s life, but never justified to take your own?
Justification for taking a human life is dependent on who it is and what the circumstances are...if that isn’t relative, what is it.
