And the good folks of NY can’t figure out why these bills never pass. They never pass because they are designed to fail. If Weiner ever got one of these bills passed, he would lose his favorite issue. So he makes good and damn sure that will never happen, and the 9/11 responders are hung out to dry.

Whether or not they're stupid isn't relevant and don't be fooled into thinking that it's mere stupidity that leads to this kind of behavior. It's not.
What leads to this behavior is the raging sense of entitlment these moral pygmies have. That's the real danger. Social mores, self discipline, and even the law don't apply in their minds. It's like Barney Frank said "I don't deal in average Americans." So why on Earth would they act line one?
They're free to bypass the TSA security lines in airports, they don't pay a dime for their own gasoline, they're surrounded by a bunch of kiss ass syncophantic staffers all day long who tell them how brilliant they are. K Street Lobbyists wine them, dine them, get them laid, get jobs for their wives, kids, aunts, uncles, and God knows who else. They pass 3,000 page Laws that they specifically exempt themselves, their staffs, and in some cases their familes from.
It's no wonder they honestly believe they can get away with crap like this. And it's no wonder they honestly believe we'll swallow the absolutely ridiculous explanations they come up with when they're caught with their Weiner in the Twitter jar. They have no reason NOT to believe it.
These people are our Betters and you damn well better understand that all that crap they pass is about YOU not THEM. And if the Distinguished Gentleman from New York wants to Twitter his wanger to some under age college girl you'll just sit down and shut up about it if you know what's good for you.
