hat comment could be a dog whistle directed at the segment of Arizona's population that considers Joe Arpaio a champion of law and order, rather than a viscous, opportunistic thugI prefer my Sheriff gooey, thank you.

These people are accountable to whom? Themselves and no one else.Sheriff, Police, Prosecutors, Judges, politicians - they effectively form a distinct class that is separate from the general citizenry. This part of the post really evoked Castigo Cay's America for me.

“Viscous” is a favorite adjective for your liberal “journalist” to apply to those he dislikes. I do not believe it means what they think it means.

Perhaps if theyd knocked at the door and presented their warrant they WOULD have been admitted, but it doesnt sound like the cops even tried that tatic."How much fun would that have been? Knocking on the door... geeze, we have toys to play with. Don't you know?"

Writer's Rule #1 -- Tell your reader what you're talking about within the first 50 words.
Sorry, Mr. Grigg, but I lasted about 4 paragraphs and still had no clue what you're talking about. I'm sure there's a point somewhere in that pile of words, but I'm not wading any deeper into the mess looking for it.
