Yes, if they're given the tools to do so. It's not likely, but it is possible -- cut taxes and regulation, get the government out of the way of the economy and stop spending like drunken sailors (apologies to drunken sailors for the comparison). It's all do-able, it just takes the will to actually do it.
I think not.
A false comparison.
So, they lowered the mound on her, and the thing is: She’s still bringing the heat and the break’n balls.
There are too many conflicting constituencies and philosophies to effect any meaningful changes.
“I cannot envision another GOP nominee besides Palin.”
Me either.......Nobody else seems to fit.....None of them.....
“You need to try to envision someone else. Palin is not going to run.”
Did you see the fox interview where she said her run would not be a conventional one?......She had always just “Jumped In” a race without the “I have an exploratory team” nonsense.....That type of approach could possibly take the election.....Let’s face it, she would definitely get more coverage than anyone else, and her messages would be heard without the McCain clan calling the shots.....THAT would resonate with folks......
no much raking in the money at the moment.
You might be correct about labor day being to late to mount a campaign. It depends on the candidate more than anything as far as the timing. As long as she can keep her supporters engaged and believing she will run her support isn't going anywhere. She will not gain any new ones until the people start paying attention. At this time the only people paying attention are the political junkies like us. So on a risk/reward basis she has no reason to get in ATM. she gains no major supporters, it will drain her resources and energy during a time no one is paying attention. I think any time would be good but I can see it being later than sooner.
“Are you telling me all the folks you listed have folks on the ground in the early states?”
Cain, TPaw, Santorum, Newt, Paul, Johnson and Mitt have already announced. Others like Trump and Daniels have telegraphed they will announce very soon. If Palin is talking about waiting to announce til later in the summer she will already have missed several debates and the train has left without her.
Politics in this country is pretty well structured. Running an unconventional campaign is just a non starter. If Palin does that she will just lose.
Mega Dittos!
As a lifelong Cardinal fan, Gibson was extraordinary in that year....and no pitcher has ever dominated like Gibson since.
PALIN/West 2012
Bolton SoS
So true. No matter how they change the rules on her she continues to beat them.
ROFL.....sure it is.
But Lolich beat him when it mattered.
And imagine how much more dough is going to be shaken loose AFTER she announces. There are plenty of ppl sitting on thier cash waiting for it.
“I think she’s in now...but won’t announce because she wants to keep raking in the dough.
And, she is raking it in”.
I fear for their mental health if she runs and the campaign flatlines or, worse, she is nominated and loses to Obama in 2012. Mark my words, it won't be her fault though. It'll be the evil press, the GOP establishment, a cabal of RINOs or some other boogeyman.
She better announced in-or-out soon. The longer she strings fans along the more she hurts the party and nomination process. Playing hard to get will alienate millions. This isn't about her. No coronations, no "it's her turn" nonsense. Get in and fight.
There weren’t too many to cause the problems... and there aren’t too many to stop us from finding solutions. People are catching on to the facts - dems are owned by liberal elites funded by George Soros. They’re liars... you know that don’t you?
BUT, BUT BUT..... Romney, Daniels and Pawlenty are SERIOUS candidates. They may be wrong on pawlenty of issues, and deferential to the PUNK, but one of *those* fine RINO’s MUST be the GOP nominee, DAMMIT! Go back and party in the tornado debris in Alabama with your playboy husband and leave us alone, Sarah.
Much to the pleasure of THIS Tiger fan!! *smiles* Great analogy about Gibson and Palin, I must say.
Yes I don’t like to inflame people because the Palin thing is so intense. My best friend is just beside herself because I don’t think Palin will run. She is just sure any day Sarah will jump in. She is in for a major disappointment. You can’t run for President on Twitter.
