We must, of course, investigate and change the name of the vine-plant, the “Wandering Jew”. It is obviously anti-semitic to use that term since we only wandered in the desert for 40 years, not an eternity. We did find a home and settle down, didn’t we?
I suggest that we now call it the “Wandering Hebrews” vine. More PC.
When is this bullshit gonna stop?
We have the Washington Redskins as our football team here in the DC area and they want to change that name too. My God, they might call it the “Washington Pink Skins”, or the “Washington Darker Than Whitey Skins”.
Ah hell, why not call them the “Washington Foreskins” and really stir up things. We’re dealing with a bunch of PC pricks anyway.
501st Parachute Infantry Regiment of World War Two fame
used the Motto and battle Cry “GERONIMO”
They were one of the Regiments that made up the famous
101st Airborne Division. ( The Screaming Eagles )
It’s a military thing. If you’re offended by the trops of today using the name “Geronimo” Tough Sh*t. Geronimo !!
I always thought he went by the nickname the Navajo’s gave him—Geronimo. The Apaches thought he was a bore—”He who yawns”.
They should have named him “Kenny” after that kid from South Park. Why? Because Kenny always gets killed. “OMG! We killed Kenny!”
I tried to tell them to nickname Osama bin Laden, ‘BarneyFrank’, but did they listen to me? NO!
What a Drama Squaw.
I liked Michael Medved’s story about how Prescott Bush stole the skull of Geronimo and spirited it away to Yale University where it is in the (secret) custody of the ‘Skull and Bones’ society. Medved then speculated that maybe the skull of Osama bin Laden (codename: “Geronimo”) may have the same destination.
lol
Doubt that you know how the military started using the term “Geronamo” when they when into battle of jumped from a plane.
The first dog to jump from a plane (with parachute) was named Geronamo. Everyone from that day forward yell “Geranamo” for that dog. If he could do it so could they.
” native Americans are circling the wagons over the use of Geronimo “ Isn’t that a mixed metaphor? Maybe not. I suppose the Native Americans did ride in an even bigger circle around the circled wagons.
I liked it when the Redskins threatened to move to Laurel, MD, if they couldn't get a new stadium paid for with tax dollars. I was hoping they would go an extra couple miles to Savage, MD. I would pay for season tickets just to watch liberal heads explode every time someone said "Savage Redskins".
Needs to go to ululationg 101
Dontcha think the time for assimilation is long past?
Chow down!
