Pointing out terrible spelling, grammar and blogpimping is not attacking Sarah Palin (as far as I know, she probably has fine spelling and grammar, and she probably doesn’t pimp blogs). Why do you not get this? How is pointing out rotten writing worthy of DU being anti-Palin?

No, it’s very different. Blogs do not require excerpting. The entire article can be posted on Free Republic. The reason for posting excerpts is to drive traffic to their blog so they get advertising hits, and hits to whatever trackers are attached to their blog. It drives traffic away from Free Republic. If a blogger wants to do a “look at me! look at me!”, the least they should do is post the whole screed here.
As I posted earlier, this OP doesn’t participate in Free Republic except to reply to their own threads. They USE Free Republic, just like they were USING Gov. Palin. *If* the person truly supports Gov. Palin, why wouldn’t they want to post their entire article in support of her here and make it easy for those who are interested? The blogger didn’t because the blogger only wants hits; Gov. Palin is only a convenient vehicle for them.
This thread is about Gov. Palin only in a cursory way. It could have just as easily been about tree frogs, Doppler Radar or whatever else the blogger thought FReepers would find interesting so they would click-through to his blog. Blogpimps get grief irrespective of topic.
