Taxing the hell out of oil? Please.

ACES does not tax the “hell out of oil”

ACEs is a severance tax that charges the oil companies for the oil they take out of AK ground. It is not the oil companies oil but per the AK consitituion it is the people's oil. Like any good fiscally responsible CEO Palin saw to it that as the price of oil climbs AK citizens share in the increase price of that oil. Oh the horror!

ACES also reduces taxes as the price of oil falls ensuring that during hard times the citizens of AK share Edin the hard times of the oil companies. Oh The Horror.

So ACEs is a tax hike and tax cut depending on the price of oil. Wow. imagine that...

Also AK has no state income, sales or property taxes.

finally as the problems in DC show we don't have a rev problem in DC we have a spending problem. Gov Palin saw to it that the additional rev she raised was not spent as soon as the state got it.

that 9.5% spending cut ensured that the $12 billion surplus would be there. She could have spent all that additional rev she didn't.

I already mentions that that “federal” money you site was reduced by 86% in earmarks over her term.

You can't attack her fiscal record. a $12 billion surplus makes it untouchable. Show me another candidate that left their state with $12 billion surplus. One just one. Her economic plan worked, her ACES program worked, her spending cuts work and the $12 billion surplus is proof of that...

“Very encouraging but national defence has to be on the table as well. The deficit is that bad. What does “fully funded” for national defence mean?”.....with drones and other new technologies, military strategy is changing drastically. the future is so bright, we’ll need shades, if we can get rid of der reader before he bankrupts us.

I know the reason for that, as do you.

Don't speak for me to try and prove a point.

And, it is duly noted that you have twice avoided answering the questions concerning any details or specifics of Palin's policy. I know the reason for that, as do you. It is simply and irrefutably due to the fact that she has never offered details or specifics.

I answered your question. I said NO POTENTIAL CANDIDATE has offered details.

Now answer my question to you. What potential candidate do you think has offered details?

I'll look for your answer.

You just can't get yourself to say it out loud...Palin has not offered any details.

This thread is about her reaction to Ryan's plan, which is actually full of details, and how your girl doesn't think it goes far enough. This thread is not about any other potential candidate. The subject is Palin's take and critique of Ryan's plan.

The question is...where are her details, what are the specifics of her plan? The answer is they don't exist.

My beef isn’t so much with her...although it’s easy to sit on the sidelines and throw stones at the guy who actually has worked on this issue for years and developed a pretty good plan. My problem is with her supporters who think every time she farts it sounds like the Ave Maria and smells like roses. The solution is for me to avoid Palin threads, which I plan to do.

I’ll stick with Palin for a fur piece, in large part because her instincts are generally good, and unlike some pols, she usually know how to get around obstacles. She’s unpredictable, which is good for the guerilla warfare she has been waging. Don’t know what her motivation is, because we , after all, really don’t know her, don’t know whether she has any sold backing. I’m impressed by Ryan, who by sheer industry and brainpower has made his way up to where he is now. Heard him address Heritage in Dallas. He and Walker get along well, and I can see why they are cut out of the walk cloth. Walker though reminds me of an LTC I knew and it is such guys who make armies work.
