Would all states be required to accept the hard copy? Yes, that's because there's this passage in the Constitution called the Full Faith and Credit Clause. Perhaps you have heard of it?
As to you requiring he send you one before you are convinced, I don't think it is reasonable to expect a presidential candidate to send original proof of citizenship to every voter.

I guess you missed part of my message. I said that if Obama did not want to send a copy of his Hawaii birth certificate to an unknown person like me, then I suggested that he send it to the news media like ABC---where Trump recently sent a copy of his long form birth certificate---CBS, NBC, CNN, and FoxNews.
I have the funny feeling that those news media outlets that I mention above would be very happy to receive a copy of Obama's short or long form birth certificate---if a long form even exists---that came directly from the Hawaii government and that did not come from Obama's campaign headquarters.

Are you telling us the following:
If, for example, Obama was involved in a court case for some reason in, say, California or Michigan, the court could NOT order Obama to present his long form birth certificate because Obama had already presented a legally acceptable short form birth certificate to prove that he is who he says he is. and because the court was bound by the Constitution passage you cite above.
What about the lawyers on the other side of an Obama court case, say, in California or Michigan?
Could they request that Obama provide a copy of his long form birth certificate even though Obama had already presented a copy of his short form birth certificate to the court?
Myself, I find it difficult to believe that a state court of law did NOT have the power to order Obama to provide a copy of his long form birth certificate, because Obama had already presented a copy of his short form birth certificate to the court in order to prove that he was who he said he was.
They could only order it if there was some information on the long form not on the short form that is relevant to the case.
I suppose he could, but then how would that be different from him allowing Factcheck staff to inspect it, which he has already done?
Fact check didn’t receive it, they created it.

Excuse me, but are you having trouble counting? Are you just trying to be funny?
Factcheck= one internet website.
My point is this: If you don't have a computer or access to the internet, then you are out of luck if you want to read what is on FactCheck's website. And even if you had a computer and access to the internet, Factcheck is a site that many people don't trust at all.
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Foxnews = 5 national tv newsmedia, each with very large number of viewers, with a combined viewer population that would make Factcheck look like an ant in comparison.
I'm sorry but I can't help laughing at your ludicrous suggestion that somehow internet website FactCheck is equal in stature and credibility to world-wide news media outlets ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and Foxnews.
Did it even occur to you that there are a lot of people in the United States and all over the world who have never heard of FactCheck, even if they have a computer and have access to the internet?
You are kidding with me, right? Seriously, are you really pointing to obscure and controversial internet website FactCheck as a major credible source---an internet site that many Americans and people throughout the world have never heard of, especially if the people don't have a computer and access to the internet---when it comes to this Obama birth certificate mess? Too funny.
The same people who distrust Factcheck, namely birthers, also distrust the MSM, even Fox, so I don't see how distributing copies of it to ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox and the rest would satisfy any of them. Likewise, the birther controversy has been largely confined to the internet, so I really don't see the imperative of reaching people without online access, who most likely hadn't even heard of the controversy.
Finally, it's not like the COLB is the only piece of evidence. It's corroborated by the birth announcements as well as by official statements from Hawaii's Health department.
That's going to be enough to convince everyone except staunch Obama opponents who would never vote for him, anyway.
I therefore don't see any reason for him to provide any more evidence that he has already one.
Can you come up with one?
“Natural born citizen simply means US citizen at birth.”
Okay, here’s a little quiz for you.
Lets say you are a Founder, and your desire is to protect this country which you love, and which you know will be threatened by subversive forces. You write in the NBC requirement, and in your mind this is to rule out certain non-American, un-American or even anti-American (Manchurian) candidates from winning an election and fundamentally threatening the Republic from within.
Fast forward. Theoretically speaking, posit this scenario. Karl Marx, although already married, makes a legal visit to the US and marries a 17 yo black girl [or so we are told; we have not seen the marriage license]. While the child is young, the mother divorces this man, moves to a foreign country and has her son adopted by a foreign national. The parents hate free market capitalism, and indoctrinate their son in the superiority of foreign cultures.
When eventually the son returns, hes turned over to communists. They rear him with a virulent hatred for whites and traditional American values. When he gets to college he makes no secret of his affiliations: he selects radical Marxists and the most radical of all brands of feminists as friends, since these are the only people he feels comfortable with. Later he writes a book and dedicates it to the dreams he received from his father, Marx. This father supported the taking of 100 % of the citizens money by the state, and doling it out as the State sees fit. The son knows this, and writes a paean to his fathers dreams because he shares them, and wants the world to know he shares them. He writes a second book in which he unabashedly offers his view of whites: White mens greed runs a world in need.
Now he runs for POTUS. We have come to a time in our nations history when asking any kind of question whatsoever of a biracial man is considered racist, so he gets a complete pass during the election. When asked to show his original long form BC, he spits in our faces. (The evil whites have no right to question their biracial Marxist Messiah!) He rules in the kind of luxury and opulence enjoyed by tinpot dictators, and his executive orders further the impression that hes not a president but a king. He runs the US down all over the world, apologizing for us in humiliating and demeaning ways while praising countries with wretched human rights records. He nationalizes banks, car companies, healthcare, etc. He subverts our interests to those of the UN. He pushes for, and gets, a treaty favorable to Russia and unfavorable to us. He seeks to destroy out military by homosexualizing/sodomizing it. Theres much, much more, but you get the picture.
Now as a Founder, can you honestly say that this isnt precisely what you were trying to protect us from, with the NBC requirement? You wanted to assure that a US born and bred person, who knew and respected our culture and traditions, held the highest office in the land. Is not Obama EXACTLY the person the Founders feared, and tried to exclude? He is fast destroying the country they loved and sacrificed for. And its not a coincidence. He is not a NBC; he doesnt understand us yet he hates us rabidly. And if the Constitution had been respected and honored, he would never have attained the sinecure from which to do his filthy work.
The alternative is that as a Founder, you wrote the NBC requirement precisely SO that a man like Marx, Mao, Hitler, Stalin—or worse—could sire a future POTUS, so long as he married an underage American girl in order to do so. If you cant see the idiocy in that, then you are a Leftist Loon no matter what you say.
Likewise, the birther controversy has been largely confined to the internet, so I really don't see the imperative of reaching people without online access, who most likely hadn't even heard of the controversy.

Curiosity, you are getting funnier and funnier by the day. I think you are starting to lose your sense of reason, that is, you don't seem to be thinking topics through very carefully before you write about them at this website. It looks more and more to me that you are more worried about winning an argument than you are about in looking at the Obama birth certificate controversy in an honest way.
For example:
1. CBS 60 MINUTES show: Can you really equate a copy of Obama's birth certificate being displayed on internet site FactCheck with a copy being discussed and dissected on the CBS show 60 Minutes, where they will probably have document experts who discuss how they put the Obama birth certificate through all kinds of tests.
2. NBC DATELINE show: I can't wait for investigative show DATELINE, like CBS 60 MINUTES, putting Obama's birth certificate, probably Obama's short form, through all kinds of tests and questioning some of the best document people in the country about Obama's birth certificate as they hold up the copy in front of the tv camera.
3. ABC 20/20 show: 20/20, like 60 MINUTES and DATELINE, will surely do a detailed discussion about every item on the Obama short form birth certificate that they too hold up in front of the camera for all the world to do. Again, they will also discuss Obama's birth certificate issue between now and election day Nov. 2012.
4. FoxNews: And do you realize what kind of exciting shows people like Hannity, Beck, and O'Reilly, Chris Wallace and Geraldo would have if they had a copy of Obama's birth certificate in hand and up close? They would probably have a panel of experts on their shows to discuss Obama's birth certificate on just about every one their shows from now until election day Nov. 2012.
5. Trump: Have you been hiding in a cave the last few weeks? Because if you had not, you would have seen and heard Trump suddenly put the Obama birth certificate into the mainstream media news world-wide as a serious topic.
6. That is, if the Obama birth certificate controversy was at one time only an internet controversy as you say above, then Trump has changed all that because he has now made sure that it is also a full-blown mainstream news controversy. It also looks like the Trump Obama birth certificate controversy is not going away any time soon from being a hot topic in the world-wide mainstream media news.
7. So, again, your idea that Obama's birth certificate being displayed on FactCheck is just as good as being displayed on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and FoxNews is funny to the point of being, as former President Clinton recently said, "ludicrous."
Trump is valuable here. He can put this out and could care less what the MSM says. He gets a LOT of visibility.
As to Trump, well, that's a relatively recent phenomenon, but it hasn't really changed the MSM's appraoch to the issue. Yes, it has them talking about it more, but it hasn't made them take it seriously. That's because there is already enough evidence in the public domain to prove Obama's eligibility beyond reasonable doubt, so the story is more about Trump's being an oddball more than anything else.
Yes, because Marx hadn't even been born yet at the founding.
Are you really that slow/imperceptive? Did you really miss the ENTIRE point?????
Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to have a very literal mind:
It's absurd to determine the validity of a proposed interpretation of the Constitution by asking whether it would produce a desireable result in some hypotheical scenario the founders could not possibly have forseen.
So you did miss the entire point. Okay.
I didn’t write that for you. I wrote it many mos ago. I’ve posted it all over FR. You’re the only one who read it [or did you?] who doesn’t have a clue what it’s about.
Sad.
******
You don't seem to understand how great it is from an anti-Obama point of view of having Trump constantly in the news discussing this Obama birth certificate issue, even if much of the news media paints the self-made billionaire as an "oddball" when it comes to this Obama birth certificate issue: It keeps the controversy surrounding Obama's long form birth certificate in the news now and all the way through the presidential campaign, even if the Obama camp probably wishes beyond hope that Trump and his Obama birth certificate controversy would quietly disappear before the 2012 presidential campaign heats up in a few months.
Pro-Obama supporters and pro-Obama news media can mock and ridicule Trump as much as they want, for instance, by calling Trump an "oddball", but one thing is for sure: The news media can't and won't ignore Trump.
In addition, the more pro-Obama supporters and pro-Obama news media mock and make fun of Trump, the more they keep Trump and the Obama long form birth certificate controversy in the public spotlight, and, I would guess, that is the last thing that the Obama camp wants to happen.
Thus, I say this to "oddball" Trump: Trump, it seems a lot of news media people are calling you an "oddball", but remember that he who laughs last, laughs best. So keep up the good work.
Trump, if your continual demand on Obama to release his long form birth certificate finally forces Obama to do so, then I say that you done good, because your single-handed effort might be a key reason why Obama is defeated in 2012 and does not serve a second term.
Can you come up with one?
If my poll numbers were as far in the tank as his I'd release every bit of information I had proving every claim I'd ever made.
You and the far left have the same answers to every question any Birther asks...and most of these are really non-answers. You are running with people who want to make fools of conservatives...and
You think Michelle Bachmann is an idiot.
Who are some other stalwart conservative politicians you believe to be idiots? Thanks in advance.
