Good report. I was there very early but when the rain started coming down in buckets I had to retreat.
The NYPD had barricades for the pro-Muslim people stretching from 42nd Street down to 38th, but they were all empty except for the first one as I walked by. People had the expected signs, all about “Islamophobia” and “Hope, not Hate.”
Nice chess move these people play, it occurred to me: Act totally obnoxious and then when there is an outraged reaction, cry “Hate!” and attach “phobia” to something. Same as crying “Racism!” every time a black president is criticized. A way of avoiding discussing the issue and attempting to win the “debate” with the playground tactic of name-calling.

Thanks. Yes, that’s the story, but I forgot about the Koran burning part. Not sure that’s my idea of a job termination. Too bad he didn’t think to burn the American flag instead. sigh.
