Sir, I never said anyone is perfect, which is something that I put in my response.
It is you sir who made that comment that she needs to change who she is not me in order for her to be more perfect.
Which is my point, you are making baseless criticisms of a person because you don’t like their style and now accusing me of the precise issue I have taken you to task on.
Who are you to say anyone is not a serious candidate, or that needs to say things a certain way in order to satisfy you as if you were God himself?
You can’t even come up with one policy issue that would suggest that she wouldn’t be qualified or be considered a serious candidate.
All you’re so called serious candidates, have given us is a declining America and a rising Russia and China.
Your points are so empty in thought, its kind of scary that you actually take yourself so seriously when it comes to the arena of ideas and politics.
Not sure who your favorite candidate is democrat or republican, but what if I said that they are not a serious candidate and that they need to speak a certain way so they would be taken more serious?
Your lack of understanding of what we face as a nation or your lack of caring, is becoming clearer with each shallow response.
I say we vet the candidates on their ideas on for the future of American and more importantly their will to implement these policies in the face of hate and ridicule.
My time is too valuable to waste another response from a person who refuses to provide one ounce of substance and value to the conversation.
Cheers..
“A strong military leader, sprinkled with a dash of Ron Pauls monetary views, mixed with an entitlement reformer, stirring in innovation on energy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, blended together with a social conservative viewpoint, and splashed with a heavy dose of charisma”
First off, we have to keep in mind that we’re just not gonna get all those attributes from any one now on the horizon. So, as usual, we need to grade each candidate as to whether or not they have a high enough score on some of the points to overcome a lower score on others.
As it stands now though it appears to me that Sarah is the only person in the pool that fits the preponderance of the stated points.
Now listen closely son, 'cause I'm only gonna say this one more time:
It.... doesn't.... matter.
As of today, far too many people think she's unqualified for her ever to be elected. It's not just one survey that says that, but all of them. After a while, you kinda see the trend... And yeah, we all know about Obama, but he's got the Democrat Master Race Card and she doesn't. Most of that is the fault of the news media, who have been vicious and unfair (so, what else is new?)
But some of it is her own fault, too: Facebook? Reality shows? Bad ideas - they make her look preposterous. Her speaking voice is atrocious, and her vocabulary and range of references are both limited and repetitive. Oh, of course, that's just my dumbass opinion, just me alone, out here crying in the wilderness... Sorry, Grasshopper, but many, many conservatives agree with me, even if you don't give a fudge.
If she wants to run and be taken seriously, Sarah will need to quit the stupid "Reality" crap and the insipid social networking and start studying some issues in depth so she sounds less superficial in interviews when speaking about anything other than energy (at which she excels). She also should work on her vocal skills - a good coach could help her enormously. Can she do it? I don't know. She's smart enough, perhaps. But she has to be motivated to improve her skills as a candidate because right now, most voters do not take her seriously and that, my friend, is the objective truth you refuse to acknowledge.
Sorry I don’t read garbage.
Move along...
Most others (40% or so) don't care about ideology. They will tend to vote for a conservative or a liberal as long as they meet three criteria: Like, Respect, Trust. Like = Candidate "X" is a person to whom I can relate, and cares about people like me. Respect = Candidate "X" is experienced, knowledgeable, and intelligent enough to do the job. Trust = Candidate "X" is honest and will do what they promise to do.
Obama won in '08 because a lot of self-described "moderates" and even some "conservatives" believed these things of him. Conversely, McCain lost because although he was generally respected, he was not broadly liked or trusted. Be honest: the only reason you were energized to vote for McCain was Palin, right? It was the only reason for me.
I think (okay: hope) many people know better now. That does not guarantee victory to any Obama opponent simply because they are conservative, although a starkly contrasting candidate will be required to beat him. It will take more than conservatism, though.
You are mistaken in projecting your views of what people ought to desire onto others. That does not make them right or you wrong in a political sense, because a plurality of Americans simply are not all that ideological. In fact, right now, many are afraid... and they have damned good reason to be. Now: is it so hard for you to accept that I might just know something you do not?
Do you want to know how Sarah Palin can win? She needs to get very serious, very quickly. No more Tweets. No more Facebook. No more social network bullshit. Speak, don't "tweet". Speak calmly and passionately about the danger we are in as a nation - and we are. Let America know that she is ready and able to lead - by example.
Come out in favor of opening up all of our energy resources as a matter not of energy policy but of national security. Propose real cuts to the budget and to whole Departments - not the piddling little amounts that Congress is fooling around with because outrageous Federal spending and deficits are hurting American families.
Declare the truth that Obama stands not with America's friends but with our enemies. Tell America that if elected, she will close the borders and enforce our citizenship laws. Stand against union thugs and their communist leaders. Rail against the politicization of the Justice Department and promise that if elected, she will clean house and only appoint people committed to enforcing the law impartially and without regard to race, creed, or color.
Lead. Why not? Michelle Bachmann is doing it. So can Sarah - if she is willing to do what it takes, and that does not mean changing her beliefs at all, but her approach. I wonder. Perhaps it's time for Conservative women to do what conservative men have thus far failed to advance.
Sir your wasting you time I don’t read trash..
Move along, save yourself the time of typing, you have shown your hand, and its a loser...
I’m not writing for you. I’m writing for the people here whose IQ’s exceed the temperature of a corpse.
I get it, so you’re writing for people that are more intellectually advanced than you?
Maybe thats the problem, you need to work with corpses first, and then work your way up to real people with brains.
My criticism of your commentary has gone so far over your head and hence we have a problem.
Didn’t mean to rush you when I said you have a second grade mentality. My bad.
Seems like you can type, but maybe processing information is the problem.
I heard jumbles are good for the mind. Good luck my friend..
If your writing for other people then why are you directing the messages to me?
Ask the corpse that one....
In addition to being a senior business process engineer at a Fortune 500 company, I write and offer opinions for the benefit of people who actually know how to interpret and intelligently discuss them, as opposed to spewing mindless, fact-free contradiction. You are not interesting, engaging, thoughtful, or funny. You have nothing substantive to say even while pretending to consider others’ arguments (which you clearly do not understand, anyway). In consideration of such public behavior, you might be the most shallow person I have ever encountered at this IP address. I will presently cease my conversation with you in order to spare you further embarrassment and to relieve me of the continuing impression that I am playing chess with a poodle.
People have their panties in a bunch over what 6 people say?
How were those 6 selected? What agenda did the the “selector” have?
The bottom line is that no one right now has a firm feeling about Palin, because she is not currently running for office!
She has not spoken to us here in Iowa; or anywhere else as a candidate.
If and when she decides to run, and articulates what she wants to do; then people can decide.
