But I really am nothing at all like what the DUmmies would regard as a stereotypical redneck freeper. I was born and raised in the city of Chicago--in the city. I'm a northern, urban, museum-and-coffeeshop kind of guy. I'm an academic--way overeducated, with several advanced degrees, have studied seven languages, that sort of thing. I don't watch Fox News much. I've never hunted, I've never used a gun, I don't have a pickup truck, don't wear a ballcap, I hate country music, and I think of St. Louis, where I live now, as the Deep South.
The reason why I'm a freeper is that I believe our federal government should follow the Constitution. I believe in limited government and private charity.
Oh, I guess there is one point in which I would fit the DUmmies' image of us. I am a Christian. But I am a liturgical, sacramental Lutheran, rather than a Baptist/fundie type, so that doesn't fit either.
Yeah, you're prolly right, since our membership is only up 20 to 30% since November and the DUmmies refer to us as the "site that cannot be named". Hell they link to here everyday, but they link to us and it's an instant TombStone. Yeah we're goin' away real soon.Funny they ain't afraid of you but us.............?

Quarreling here on FR about CC is not good. Such posts have been deleted before. This is not the time or place for that, so no more, please.
After a while, PJ decided to have a separate DUmmie FUnnies blogspot, which we do. But FR is where we still have the most activity and comments.
Conservative Cave is, in a sense, an independent spin-off from DUmmie FUnnies, people heavily by current and former DUFU regulars, with the esteemed franksolich as the driving force. But the original concept of looking at what's going on in the DUmp for FUn and amusement--that comes from here. I don't look as CC as "competition," but as complementary. It's good when the CC regulars also post comments here, since this is the "mothership," if you will.
To me, as a DUFU pingee and DUFU co-host, I always think mostly in terms of it as an FR thing and PJ's baby. This is where my loyalties lie.
I second that, sir; freerepublic is not the place to do this sort of thing.
PJ, if you could do at least three DUFUs a week, and I did two, that would be about the right frequency and proportion, as far as I’m concerned. I’m only the humble GUEST correspondent, after all. :-) This is YOUR baby!

I’ll try but I have an intense couponing week coming up. Then the rest of the month is mostly free for me. I am up this early on a Sunday because all the big sales start today. Gotta buy them up before the others do. I see several hundred gallons of cranberry juice in my near future. For Superbowl I have 4 DiGiorno Supreme Pizzas better than FREE. I am actually getting paid to eat them along with my friends.
