I suspect the majority of the data acquired from the Egyptian consulate involves other Arab neighbors, and was gathered using US spy technology.

It will be used to muscle, soften, and collapse the other regimes in line with the wishes of Soros/Muslim Brotherhood/Commies/Obama (same thing).

We're talking about politics on this thread, you brain-damaged neo-Nazi. Eff off back to Rome or Munich or wherever someone cares whether you live or die, because it ain't around here.

So you are doubling down on childishness. This is why I call your affliction "Premillennial Dysfunctionalism" since it riddles the brain and soul with violent insanity.

When you get back on your stabilizing meds, it would be of value for you to soberly look at the posts in this gem of a thread and witness for yourself what unhinged Futurism reaps.

I'm certainly getting a laugh over your melt-down.

Why are you such an ass? The Nile didn't "belong" to Egypt til they built the Aswan High Dam along with Russia, which refers to modern Egypt. Prior to that it was it's own entity.

7) The unifying emotion on the Arab “street” in these riots as the political and food issues subside, is hatred for Israel. There is significant sentiment that Mubarak and Assad (and other strong men) were in the back pocket of Israel, and now that “the people” are siezing control, the Muslim Brotherhood is reinforcing the idea that all oppression was Israel’s fault and they will pay.

That’s all for now.
= = =
That’s all for the world as we know it.

Since we are heading quickly to have a government and economy closely resembling Mexico's, is there any way that we can be as far from center from the Islamic radar as they are too?

We could all die or submit.

I note that Mexican gangs have allah the sudden taken on the very muslim practice of beheading their enemies.

Considering that you Futurists place ALL biblical prophecy in the future, are you folks still waiting for the Christ-child to be born?

Obviously the above perspective has NOT the least clue what Dispensationalists believe any more than they seem to have any clue about what The Bible says.

Go wet yourself on another thread, celibate-by-design.

First, I don’t consider oil spills, earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc. to be curses or judgements.

I'm relieved to see that.

But now there is an Israel, in part because of the Jews themselves desiring to reestablish, and partly because of political and military assistance by G. Britain, the US and others.

For a people who have made the deserts bloom, I am glad that they have restored that area. Extra bonus points for reminding the previous residents how sloven a tenant they were. I have mixed feelings regarding their return to the land. On the surface, it looks like a splendid thing, the land wasn't being used well, sparsely populated, and really of no interest to anyone. From purely a hindsight position, it appears to be somewhat a disaster because of all the strife that characterizes that region, and for all of the grief that has brought on to the west. The ethnic Jews are a wonder, in that no matter where they settle, they thrive; they are overrepresented in the professions and in the patent offices, and because of that those around them prosper in many ways.

One might argue that God put the nation back together (such as it is), but if one assumes that, then there was certainly considerable human effort in concert.

Considering the Scriptures (Romans 13 et al), it isn't arguable, its fact ;). But not from a Israel-in-the-prophecies sort of way. Considering what you quoted from Churchill, one could argue that modern day Israel is a self-fulfilling prophecy. With enough Zionists in positions of influence and power, it was really just a matter of time.

I’d like to think, but in no ways am certain that there is an opportunity for the US to play an important role to the end- certainly it has already in many ways, not the least of which is the Great Commission.

The whole world was evangelized in Paul's day. (Col 1:23) So what some people might call the Great Commission is just Believers doing what we are supposed to do. (unless you think that the signs of Mark 16:17-18 are still exhibited today).

Nevertheless, I have a different theory on the point and purpose of the U.S. in history. I too think that this generation or the next generation is the The Generation to see the Parousia, based not on the rantings of the Futurists, but on a very different interpretation of the Olivet Discourse - and a serious helping of wishful thinking and speculation.

I very brief summary, it works like this:

Most of the things Jesus spoke about did indeed transpire by 70AD since when He said "this generation" and "at hand" He wasn't referring to "that generation" and "thousands of years later". What is still left to be argued is how to interpret "As in the days of Noah" and "As in the days of Lot". While those conditions could be said of Rome and Jerusalem prior to the siege and sacking, it isn't a perfect fit and thus one needs to dip into the well of the Two Age model - and this composite prediction probably finds its perfection in the days leading to the Parousia.

Which leads to my current working theory that I call "Theory of the Upper limits" which posits that the "days of Lot and Noah" were characterized as prosperous times where sin flowed like Niagra Falls. The Bible was not written for the West in general or the U.S. in particular, because prosperity would mean nothing if you were naked and starving in the dark. Yet, prosperity though not enjoyed by all, is at least manifest everywhere. You might not be living in a beachfront mansion, but you can see your neighbor's from your mud hovel.

So if the Days are characterized as prosperous, then we shouldn't expect The Return when the people of the world are eating bugs and tree bark. Hence the theory of the Upper Limits. If all that our crystal balls of today tell us that we are heading for a Thousand Years of Darkness then the window of opportunity, if you will, is either the days leading up to that turn, or a thousand years from now. (assuming the crystal ball isn't defective).

That is where the U.S. fits in. Up until the U.S. gave the world advanced farming, energy, pharmacology and manufacturing techniques, and flooded the globe with trillions of dollars of wealth and a dozen air-craft carriers to maintain peace, we couldn't really say "Days of Lot" at least not from the economic perspective. Because of what the West and the U.S. did, all of that is possible - that is until the world realizes that the wealth was bogus and the whole system collapses.

If you really want to spend your energy trying to chart out the day of the LORD's return, the Dispensationalist method has proven each decade to be an utter failure, as we see prediction after prediction fail - and fail miserably at that.

Further evidence is that your rank-and-file Futurists is grieving and wailing over how horrible it is now, that it is the worst of all times, birth pains, etc. When in fact it is the exact opposite. Life expectancy has never been this great, this generation of people the world over has not seen war, famine or plague. We are so wealthy most people are obese and we can afford to burn food in our cars and jet-skis. We are so acclimated to a peaceful world that we think Doomsday when a dozen people are killed in a random bomb-blast, or when a few hundred thousand people protest in the street. Why didn't the world freak over Glenn Beck's millions, or the crowd of illegal aliens protesting in the streets of LA yet we are so eager to say its the end of the world over tens of thousands protesting in the streets of Egypt?

On the other hand, if you want to try something new, there is the Theory of Upper Limits to consider. Either it happens in the next few years, a thousand years from now, or our crystal balls are defective and needs tuning.

I'm inclined to think that we worry too much, since we have had bigger economic problems in the past (Great Depression) and yet survived. For all we know the BRIC nations may pick up the torch and carry the rest of the world into further prosperity while the US and the PIIGS nations melt into obscurity.

In a historical perspective, the Muslim world is but a mere shadow of the monster it once was. They could take over the entire middle east, including Israel, and still not have the power or influence of the Ottoman empire.

I think our most immediate threat is our own government, not an unstable one a half dozen timezones away

Sort of like "If you aren't a Futurist you must be racist" skipping track you make?

Come-on Al/Jesse, you can do better than that. Normally I would take you seriously but I think the only thing you know about Amillennialism is how to spell it. Your history of posting shows that you are an exceptionally smart and witty person - so why the deliberate ignorance and why take the loser route? Because its popular among the mouth breathers and the Prozac popping crowd? Futurism is for the snake-handlers and the Purpose Driven cabal who are mesmerized by TBN, think the Antichrist is hiding in the hall closet, and feel that fiction booksellers LaHaye and Lindsey are prophets.

Come to the light. Be free.

Oh my gosh...you have got to be kidding.

No offense, but do you really think all of world history began the moment you were born?

Compare the Ottoman Empire or Mohammed's conquests to today. Tell me how many cities and nations have fallen since you have been alive. How can the last decade or so of jihadist killings compare to any year of the Rashidun or Umayyad Caliphates. Are you saying that Egypt is in more peril now than when Sadat was gunned down and over 300 Islamic radicals were rounded up and prosecuted? When the Egyptian military was accused of an international conspiracy? We have a long way to go to get there from here, and yet somehow Egypt survived without unleashing Hell on Israel.

You are easily seduced by the enemedia that turns a routine snow storm into Snowmageddon, an Iceland volcano into the end of civilization, AIG executive bonuses into the greatest theft ever made. According to the Enemedia wasn't the Gulf Oil Spill supposed to end the Gulf Stream and change Europe into Greenland? The SUV was going to raise the ocean levels and whole island nations would disappear like Atlantis into the sea? Weren't we told that spray deodorant was going to permanently destroy the ozone layer and our children would drop dead of Melanoma merely by spending an hour playing in the backyard?

History is your friend and will allow you to sleep better at night when you can see things in perspective.

It's not ignorance, it's *irritation* at your attempted thread highjacking, complete lack of etiquette, and superhuman ability to generate boredom fields of incredible strength and range.

Go start another thread and ping me to it to discuss the political implications of Amillennialism vs Pre and Post-Millennialism.

If I give half a crap, I'll go over there and show you at least as much courtesy as you've shown me as I humiliate you into silence, wonderful silence.
