Naturally the requirement will be overruled by an OBAMA APPOINTED FEDERAL JUDGE.
only 52 more to go
you got that right....
It will be declared unconstitutional to follow the constitutional requirements of the constitution
You are probably right, but this and other state initiatives will most likely make their way to the SCOTUS if for no other reason than to get a clarification on what a “Natural Born Citizen” is.
So at what point does it turn into a real issue... the DEFINITION of a natural born citizen? Just because you have a US birth certificate does not mean you are a natural born citizen.
Every state that cares about the Constitution needs to pass such a law.
If he’s a natural born citizen, he can prove it.
If he’s not, he needs to leave.
And the nature of the clause tells us that there was a definition at the time of the writing. The founders would have defined it in the clause if it did not exist and they were creating some new definition. It did exist in the Law of Nations, so no new definition was required in the Constitution. Two US citizen parents at birth produces a NBC. Very simple.
States starting to push back on a range of issues including state soverignty, border control and Obamacare. And now on presidential eligibility. Things are moving in the right direction. This is getting to be very interesting.
Does that mean his name cannot appear on the ballot there?
Some trash judge will okie-doke Blackie-O’s husband, just like they okie-doked the ballerenia.
What I have learned about the USA is that the law is for me, and not for thee.
Barry is already looking at Arizona as a bellwether state that predicts which way the Southwest will go. Not being able to run there will be a tremendous setback for him.
It’ll probably go nowhere due to court action but anything that screws with Obama is fine by me.
“Not being able to run there will be a tremendous setback for him.”
What about Texas (and the other states?) - it’s huge. Pray that they succeed, then BHO can’t be on their ballots and maybe then we won’t have to worry so much.
In my many years at FR — this is one of the best one-liners of all time.
If we do not get 5 states or more doing this with DETAILED requirements - then the USA is over.
