everything except being here illegally.
Those who would trade liberty for security will end up with neither.
“ALL THAT IS NOT FORBIDDEN IS MANDATORY!”

That’s their point.
This crap was going on well before 9/11.
right ho.
Says the bureaucrat Floyd Ferris: “You honest men are such a problem and such a headache. But we knew you’d slip sooner or later . . . [and break one of our regulations] . . . this is just what we wanted.”
Rearden: “You seem to be pleased about it.”
Bureaucrat Ferris: “Don’t I have good reason to be?”
Rearden: “But, after all, I did break one of your laws.”
Bureaucrat Ferris: “Well, what do you think they’re there for?”
Continues bureaucrat Ferris: “Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed? We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against . . . We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted [Frederick Mann: Obfuscation of meaning is a key element of the con games bureaucrats and politicians play.] - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”
"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."
Not only are we generously giving away our freedoms, the PTB are seeing how far they can push the envelope.
Some LEOs like to say:
“If you are not a LEO like me, then you are just someone who I haven’t arrested yet.”
Common sense is increasingly uncommon.
I have a Master’s In Criminal Justice. One of the theories I remember having been exposed to Expounds that todays crimes (Murder, arson, etc.) will be outmoded and other crimes will be brought to the forefront. For instance, Murder was a capital crime, once, now you get five years and probation. Opening your wife’s e-mail is now a felony. I shouldn’t have slept through that class as it has become true.
I’ve been trying to find a quote that was atributed to Ayn Rand — something like, “The only way to make an honest man a criminal is to pass enough laws.” Does that sound familiar?
Meanwhile, real crimes go unprosecuted. Black Panthers. Illegals.

”sign over ant hill entrance”
Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.
...should be a sign at all public schools.
Be careful not to let that happen again or you could be arrested for your error.
Who called the cops? Why?
