Has Mr. Hunter mentioned Sarah, his likes and dislikes? Do you have a link?
In six years this "Mission Undefinable" in Iraq alone has cost us well over a trillion dollars, untold missing palettes of USD, over 4400 death solders, thousands of injured, a cratered economy - for what exactly?
Winning "hearts and minds"? Purple thumbs? A permanent military base? Persecuted Christian Iraqis who can't worship in peace? Who knows - certainly NOT Duncan Hunter, a good man, though totally misguided on this score.
You're right - Islam is Islam - a Cult. Iraq will predictably wind up a hard-core, repressive Muslim republic the minute we leave.
When will our elites understand that "Nation Building" is a bunch of unconstitutional crap? Iraq was NEVER going to change. Right - This last six years was in the "win" column a la Nam. Except the Rules of Engagement allowed American soldiers to protect themselves and fight individual battles to win there.
OH! AJM is you!
You typed all of this from a recorded conservation?
By the way, there are two other threads going on at FR on the Catholics having to cancel Christmas services in Iraq and questioning if it was worth it. We won't really know for a few years, but it's not looking good. Anyone who says we won at this point is a fool, including Yo-Yo.
How about that? Muslims acting like...well...MUSLIM CULTISTS. Big surprise this is.
We won't really know for a few years, but it's not looking good.
Quite frankly, I want a refund.
There were far cheaper ways to knock off Saddam and sending "Listen-To-Me-NOW" messages to pipsqueak, tinhorn dictators.
This was pretty much a Huckabee endorsement in this interview, I think he left his options open in case Huckabee doesn't run, but he made it clear that he has not waivered on Huckabee.
Question-Have you seen anybody who has given you inspiration?
DH: Well, as you know, last time I campaigned for Huckabee in 2008 after I got out of the race. I liked him because I think he understood the economic/security problem as it relates to our China policy. So I liked that. But its too early to make that determination.
you really are dumb as a brick. I thought you just acted that way for our entertainment.
You probably shouldn't think too much then. It seems rather problematic for you. It could have been worse. He could have mentioned Precious.
Well, I don’t know what was in that post to trigger that outburst, but I saw him leaving his options open if Huckabee doesn’t run again.
Hunter made it clear that he was not backing away from Huckabee for the Presidency, but he did not go so far that it would be embarrassing if Huckabee decides not to run.
I’ll take the man at his word. It’s too early to make that determination. Sounds like he’d prefer a military man to me. Or Mike Pence.
His statement on Huckabee was very pointed, and affirmative, and even mentioned his primary concern “ I liked him because I think he understood the economic/security problem as it relates to our China policy”, before he casually mentioned other names of military, but highly unlikely candidates.
I guess he had to have some rationale for supporting Huckabee back then. It could have been worse. He could have told America that John McCain was a Tea Party favorite.
I thought we were discussing this interview, not 2008.
Everything that I said is about right now. Hunter made clear that he has not waivered on Mike Huckabee.
Then you ought to feel confident that you won’t depart from a $100 if we put a wager on it.
I don’t gamble, and even if I did I would not let casual internet discussions result in long term, high money bets with total strangers, on various forums and blogs.
Man you bring up some childish stuff.
If only it were as childish as pretending LOST and amnesty don’t matter.
