Do you know what bothers me?

In the old days of analog cable you could switch the channel without any delay or lag in getting it as seems to be the case in the new HD era.

Wonder if this was a limitation put in purposely to specifically target compulsive channel changers, to inhibit us from changing - like loud volume, it sorta works.

Anyway, it’s mildly entertaining having to watch snippets of a commercial for a few times before you figure out who and what.

You've a fine one to talk when you support government interference with all the channels to get what you want.

I am starting to realize that we will NEVER get the government off our backs, because it appears that “so-called” conservatives support it when it advances their agenda.

How about doing away with most of the BS nany state shit and let people live their lives?

Oh, my word, but that might be dangerous.

I mean, you really want us to actually move a finger, perhaps a hand to lift the remote to reduce the volume.

Good Lord, how onerous it must have been way back in the 60’s and 70’s when we actually had to GET UP and walk those long six steps to the TV console to turn the volume up or down, never mind changing the the channel.

And yes, like you, I am a realist, often called a pessimist, because I agree with you that statist diktats are supported by one and all when we like it and that the increasing attacks of the Nanny State on more of our daily decisions is inexorable and unstoppable.
