I have major problems with many of Monsanto’s other antics. However, that does not mean I will blindly accept claims made by a Canada Free Press blogger. And beyond that, it makes no sense for a company like Monsanto to buy Blackwater - if you need black ops, you want them at arm’s length instead of in your own corporate stable.

Monsanto doesn’t care, they have enough lobbyists and lawyers and hush money to do damage control on anything Blackwater/Xe did. No harm to them to have them in house.

Monsanto at this point has enough competition that their power though large is limited. Some of the laws and court cases coming down the pike might change that. They are lobbying and lawyering hard to produce favorable outcomes.

Once again, it makes no sense to have a company like Blackwater in-house for Monsanto. It's not their core business, and it's cheaper for security needs to be outsourced.

This was just typical fear-mongering by the liberals at The Nation, and unfortunately a few conservatives lapped it up without checking it, something really stupid in this day and age of Google. The truth about Monsanto and their antics with patent enforcement that runs against the laws of nature is more than adequate for a compelling story, but some folks seem to think they need to hyperventilate to get attention.

You know little about what the SEC could do to them, apparently.

forging for food is verrry difficult. It’s a lot easier to go into the fields and streams and gather available edibles.

Yes it is and you can starve to death or poison yourself, if you don’t know what your doing.
