The left believes the former Alaskan Governor to be a joke and clearly they have no respect for her. They hate her with the intensity of a drunken Red Sox fan at a Yankee’s playoff game. But sometimes hatred isn’t really hatred at all, but actually fear. This makes more sense. Is it possible that the left fears the power of Sarah Palin?

Sorry, the theory espoused above doesn't explain why so many on our side don't like her. I think there are several things going on here.

Number one-she's gorgeous. This trait is particularly unsettling to females on both sides of the political divide. Does anyone want to bring up Margaret Thatcher here...or say, Golda Meir? Indira Ghandi? Civilization hasn't seen anyone like Sarah Palin since....Cleopatra.

Number two-she's smart and oh, she's gorgeous too. This combination makes her a bit unsettling for some men, don't you think?

There's no question in my mind that Ginger is right about the fact that the left fears Sarah Palin, but I don't think that it's their feeling of being somehow held hostage by her.

No, the reason the left fears Sarah Palin is that she is living proof that abortion is wrong. It's the one issue among many lesser important ones, that if they even begin to question themselves on the issue, would cause the leftist house of cards to come tumbling down. Not only would their political viability be destroyed, abortion is for leftist ideology, the tie that binds. Forget their anti-capitalist bent, it's definitely who they are, but they know they cannot control our activities if they can't destroy our instincts for self preservation first.

Sarah not only had a child she knew wasn't normal, she allowed her daughter to choose life too. Make no mistake, these choices resulted in significant emotional events for those on the left. Fear doesn't begin to describe what they felt. Sarah made them feel dirty-and for that, she's reviled by them.

One of the ‘comments’ said something to the effect that the libs think their ‘enemy’ is a cheerleader, so they won’t see it coming when they finally get blind-sided.

Women on the right don’t like her because she’s gorgeous?
Men on the right don’t like her because she’s smart?

The right can do without people like that, it’s probably why we get politicians like Lisa Murkowski and Lindsey Graham.
