LOL, well, I don’t surf pron. But now it’s apparently surfing pron all on it own, which is rather annoying. Or it was doing that until I disabled the networking. The didn’t work well - computer is ggoooooiiiiiinnnngggggg ssssslllllooooowwwwwwllllly now.

Fortunately, it’s my designated computer for doing searches that might take me places I don’t know (e.g., China) or don’t trust (e.g., Dummies et al). Just going to use Disk Eraser to nuke it clean and then re-install. I.e., I’m giving up.

Thank God that I run my biz on a different and more up-to-date computer. (And I’ve got my Blackberry, too, which I’m using here.)

Hold on a minute. Try these two links first.

CC Cleaner. It’s free (although they ask for a donation).

And or Advance System Care ($17 a year well worth it).

You know, I use CC Cleaner on my main biz computer. Didn’t think of running it on the infected one. D’oh! Think I’ll do that tonight after biz is done. Def can’t hurt.

If that doesn’t work (and a couple other suggestions above, maybe), then it’s nuke it time...

When all else fails, try reverting back to an earlier system update/configuration... prior to when you got the virus.

Norton seems to work really well. And it is free through Comcast.
