My response is not to condone or codify the behavior. I sincerely believe that they are born that way and no amount of condemnation or berating is going to change that—just make them less useful to contribute whatever they can to society.

I do not think they deserve and special rights or protection from any government. They should stand before the law in the same way you and I do: No exceptions, and no conditions.

That said, I think your vehement response is akin to the type of hate, unfounded on anything concrete, that lead to the Jewish holocaust. “They” were just like you and I in ALL regards, except one: The religion they were born into.

I do not push the homosexual agenda. Indeed, I push the Christian agenda: I love my neighbor and forgive his sins. It really does lead to salvation, and lower blood pressure. It is my belief that God is teaching us that we should not sweat the stuff that we cannot change; and that HE will take care of that in due time. I believe that with my life and soul. It is hard to practice, but when you get used to it, wonderful things happen. I don’t intend to give my “Testimony” here, but I really believe and do my best to live it.

If he stole classified documents to turn them over to another person for the purpose of harming the US, then he should fry. Period. As far as what relevance engaging in homosexual sex has to character and trustworthiness e.g. security risks. A good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit. One who chooses to engage in homosexual sex is by default disordered and morally corrupt -not a good security risk... Religious basis is just as valid premise for discussion and public discourse as any other and seems like a good basis to me for suggesting that Manning was and continues to be a morally corrupt security risk --regardless what you "feel"...
