LOL
Well, if it helps any, the responses to emails has been underwhelming.
People have time constraints that demand flying....
Your statement isn't/wasn't doable for many American's.....
Time contraints, oh well.
Jobs? Well... Those aren’t convincing arguments to me.
Okay....
Glad we have you on record.
FWIW-
Agreed..........
There’s always other jobs out there that don’t require it. If all flying ceased, then what?
‘Having’ to do something means there’s no choice. You have a choice, you just prefer to do it.
To me, that’s not a good enough reason to get on a plane.
The police state is making it difficult for us to drive too. At least here in the Southwest, the BP can stop and interrogate us within 100 miles of the border, have their dogs sniff our vehicles, ask intimidating and invasive questions, so on. And this is all in the primary line.
There are red light and speed cameras, recording our comings and goings. At least Nappy’s Big Sis foreign-owned cameras are off our highways for now.
We have DUI checkpoints, ag checkpoints, everything acclimating us to show papers, please.
Not for the illegal aliens, mind you, they generally don’t get tickets or interrogated, that would be unfair. Just watch the Hispanic BP give their brethren a pass sometime, while we, the hated “white people” are grilled about our vacation plans.
ROFLMAO!!!! MY SENTAMENTS EXACTLY!! MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYONE OF THEM THE HELL OUT OF THE UNITED STATES.
All of the talk about "never again" and a lot of it's here already. I have little faith that any of this will be stopped.
We the sheeple should never have allowed it to get this far -- where we have to take all of our jewelry and belts and shoes off. The shoe part is especially humiliating, painful for some of us, not to mention disgusting.
But people bought into the lies about this being "for your safety" (like "for the children") and here we are, living in some futuristic, politically-correct nightmare.
Sure, I conduct much business over the phone, internet..etc...but some of it requires me to be there.
No worries...I see when I'm whipped....
I will not belabor the points.
FWIW-
My flying days are over. Business trip? I’ll drive. Or take Greyhound. I will not allow myself to be frisked or x-rayed in order to board a plane.
This whole thing is ridiculous - If we hadn’t been trained to be a nation of sheep prior to 9/11, none of the hijackings would have taken place because the other passengers would have risen up and beat the crap out of the ragheads. Prior to 9/11, people WERE allowed to carry small pocket knives on planes.
I think that what needs to happen is that 2000 or 3000 protesters take control of a couple of major airports - just jam them up and take control. Shut the airports down. They can’t arrest everyone, and by the time they clear the crowd out, national air travel will be in chaos for 2 days. Have a couple more hubs do it again the next week.
I realize that airports have security, but they don’t have enough rentacops to handle thousands, and they aren’t going to start shooting innocent civilians.
2000 or 3000 passengers a day asserting 'opt-out' would be a start. But imagine the lead time one would need before a flight.
re: “they arent going to start shooting innocent civilians”
After Waco, Ruby Ridge, the MOVE bombings, the Donald Scott murder, just to name a few, are you willing to bet your life that “they” will hesitate to shoot you? Based on previous US history, the likely outcome is for the government to break up any demonstrations with whatever force is convenient for them, then spend whatever resources it takes to demonize whoever happens to wind up dead as a result. After that, the pattern is to promote the people in charge either of whatever slaughter has occurred, or of the coverup of such slaughter. To elucidate that pattern with reference to the above list of government killings:
Westley Clark, the Butcher of Waco, became a credible candidate for President
Deval Patrick, who orchestrated the legal coverup of the killings at Ruby Ridge became the Governor of MA
Ed Rendell, who would have been in charge of prosecuting the MOVE bombers, and elected not to charge them with any crimes, became the Governor of Pennsylvania
Dan Lundgren, who should have been responsible for punishing the killing of Donald Scott, but failed to do so, is now a federal congressman.
Doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t stand up to the government, but don’t bet that you might ever come home from doing so.
Thing is, if you don’t stand up to them when you can, it becomes more and more of a sure bet every day that eventually the loss of life they cause might not just be yours, but also that of your family, your friends, your neighbors, and a few bystanders for good measure.
Might as well get used to the idea that you are not safe standing up to the government ... but you have to stand up anyway, because failure to do so eventually increases the risks not only to you, but to everyone you might possibly love, care about, or even know.
Good points - how soon we forget. Waco & Ruby Ridge stand out as government actions where they demonized those that they exterminated (much like Nazis did against the Jews, but on a smaller scale).
Perhaps if the protest is huge and representative of a large cross section of the population, they won’t be able to use that technique. They certainly tried (and are still trying) to demonize the Tea Party movement. But imagine if the protestors are representative of _everybody_.
Maybe a different approach is needed - something that will repeatedly throw major wrenches into the mechanism without the patriot culprit standing out like a sore thumb. It’s got to be stopped, that’s for certain.
Well, don’t wish death on anyone, but I know how you feel.
The massive new TSA bureaucracy is callous and like the Agency it descended from — the FAA — makes have the best possible tenure, perks and salary the priority. It was born of pure cronyism and a political back-patting. The cronyism was between politically connected suppliers, lobbyists, totally corrupted politicians tied by their pubic hairs to lobbyists and crony corporations, and unions and the pols that love them. Tom Daschle and uber-lobbyist wife Linda established the benchmarks of super cronyism in the FAA when she ran that Agency.
The back-patting was by GW Bush who in rush to settle the skies of post-911 trauma thought it best to supply our nation’s most corrupt pols and lobbyists with all the KY jelly they needed to bone America’s nether-regions for power, profit and bribe. And in that act of political sex was born the TSA.
And it shows.
Then get all confused like you cant understand what it is they want and bumble around, taking up as much time as you can, but be polite and say "I'm sorry" a lot. Hold up the line and traffic, and if they pull you out of line, act like you have heart disease, forgetfulness, or whatever. A crying screaming baby does wonders, too, lol
You REALLY would not put up with techniques that can do that.
