Avoiding fiscal disaster is what got us here in the first place. The way to get rid of Democrats is to welcome fiscal disaster. A good fiscal disaster is the only thing that will flush the system.

This Open Letter that Sarah Palin has written is a master piece of good writing. It is eloquent and inspiring. and mentions many important points. She is well informed about all the essential issues that the incoming freshmen Representatives must consider. Sarah Palin is a great leader.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, not a settlement.

Obamacare is a job-killer, a regulatory nightmare, and an enormous unfunded mandate.

You should be prepared to stand with the President against Iran’s nuclear aspirations using whatever means necessary to ensure the mullahs in Tehran do not get their hands on nuclear weapons

When the Left in the media pat you on the back, quickly reassess where you are and readjust, for the liberals' praise is a warning bell you must heed.

I and most Americans are so excited for you. Working together, we have every right to be optimistic about our future.

She really can write, and she covers almost every important point.

"When the Left in the media pat you on the back, quickly reassess where you are and readjust, for the liberals' praise is a warning bell you must heed. Trust me on that."

Learn this one well....

There is no question that Madam President is far more qualified than the guy in the White House now.....

“Never let a crisis go to waste.” Rahm Emmanuel

The downside is that GOP will get blamed if the economy doesn’t turn arounf and FAST. Unfortunately, Conservatives have two years to undo the damages. We cannot allow LIBs to use the economy against us.

This is what we MUST do, short term:
1. Renew the Bush tax cuts for EVERYBODY.
2. Cut spending in HALF (except DoD) by eliminating Depts of Education, Energy and HHS, plus EPA. Then CUT legislators pay in half and staffs in half. Then CUT the Pentagon down to size.
3. Eliminate foreign aid.
4. No automatic raises for legislators.

Do that and we can get serious about financial reform.

Now A REALLY SMART incoming 2011 Freshman Tea Party Congressperson would give up their weekend, get to their laptop, and be the FIRST to publicly post an Official Group Reply, back to Sarah Palin, and thus accordingly insinuate that they are prepared to lead the GOP Incoming Class in this endeavor.

Paging Cong. elect- Allen West, pick up the red courtesy phone, and consider blogging a heartfelt, public thanks and a point by point agreement with Governor Palin today and no sooner!

This is what we MUST do, short term:

You must have caught too many hockey sticks to the head. WE do not control the Congress, only the House. WE do not sign the bills into law, Obama does. Even if we controlled both Congress and the Presidency the things you demand would take time and most would be impossible to do.

It is fine to fantasize but to tell the newly elected Republicans they MUST do these things is irresponsible rhetoric.

"and no later", of course, is what I meant.

Wonder if any new Congresscritters lurk here on FR and will be the first across the finish line to establish a big name for him or herself as in replying to Sarah Palin this weekend.

If I myself had been just elected to Congress, I would definitely consider that as not only a general open letter, but also a very personal letter from her, deeming it needful of immediate reply.

I just read that sentence out loud to my wife before I saw your re-post - a good bit of wisdom there.

Great minds....?

We must not fight the Regulars, we do not control the government, we have no troops. Fighting our own king is foolishness!

I agree with you to a point. The Majority must pass bills and send them to the Senate and let the majority in the Senate take the blame for being obstructionist. Make it a matter of record. When, at times, the Senate passes the bills, the big O must be the one on record as the obstructionist. Granted that the MSM will fall over themselves blaming the 'Pubs.

It is the economy and the spending and the tone deafness of Washington DC that caused the great turnover election. The Repubs must stay the course and, yes, they must use precious political capital to define themselves from Democrats and remind the Dems of why they were sent there.

Also, they must perform oversight in the meantime, starting with the damn czars. I speculate that there are some stunning things to be found.

BTW, Iran will get the bomb. The Repubs need to blame Obama for it - are you safer today then you were four years ago?

I pray the Tea Party caucus sticks together and organizes - that they have bi-weekly meetings - that they check back home every other day and that they do the things they said they would. Pi$$ on the rinos - that herd is still there too.

(Remember that some in the media will love you when you stray from the time-tested truths that built America into the most exceptional nation on earth. Just like a canary in a coal mine, when the press starts to praise you, reverse direction and run.
