Words don’t bog down the servers. Pictures do a bit.
By putting all the words here, they will be preserved long after the blog goes under.
I’m still pissed because the paper that publishes my columns wouldn’t let me post full excerpts, and then they changed server hosts and lost all the old articles.
Although I guess now I can post them to my own blog.
Well, humblegunner, you know that with the rabid pro-palin folk, the answer to anything is “you must be anti-palin”.
If Josh had done a little digging, he’d know that you aren’t anti-Palin, you are anti-blog-pimping.
However, this particular post has brought up an interesting phenomena. I’m usually with you on the argument that bloggers should post their entire contents here, since they own it.
But what do you do if a 3rd-party freeper posts a blog entry? Then they don’t own the rights, so maybe they shouldn’t really post the whole thing (although we do allow full posting of anything that comes from places which haven’t asserted copyright privileges).
It’s just not as common to find 3rd-party blog posters (other than the financial pimps who spend their days link-posting every article from their favorite financial hawk-sheets as if they are news stories).
There was a time that C4P posted their blog entries here, often excerpted, but I’m not sure they are posting things much here anymore. Didn’t they even have their own freeper account here?
