Lots of people learn that the hard way.
Now you'll be ready to counsel some GTFOSTFUn00b that he doesn't know what he's doing when he tries that. :)
Noted.
Looks great! When is dinner being served?
Sooooooooo.... “THAILAND?”
Little help here?
BTW, you are officially no longer a n00b.
Spicy Chicken Soup:
INGREDIENTS
2 quarts water 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 2 tablespoons dried parsley 1 tablespoon onion powder 5 cubes chicken bouillon 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 (16 ounce) jar chunky salsa 2 (14.5 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup 3 tablespoons chili powder 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 2 (16 ounce) cans chili beans, undrained 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream DIRECTIONS In a large pot over medium heat, combine water, chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley, onion powder and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, or until chicken juices run clear. Remove chicken, reserve broth. Shred chicken. In a large pot over medium heat, cook onion and garlic in olive oil until slightly browned. Stir in salsa, diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes, tomato soup, chili powder, corn, chili beans, sour cream, shredded chicken and 5 cups broth. Simmer 30 minutes. You can adjust about any quantity to your liking and still enjoy the basic flavors. For those who thought it too bland or too spicy, the solution is to adjust your seasonings as you go. The parsley flakes, onion powder and garlic powder are not so critical, but save adding chili powder and salt for the last, especially because the boullion cubes will be salty.
Split pea, clam chowder, does ramen count as soup? Miso maybe? Yeah, the watery stuff with goop in it is awesome all over the world.
Wow your thread makes me remember all the the fantastic soups/stews I have had over the years and where I had them. To many to account for tho!
I can cook up some really good stuff, but what I buy ends up being on the location I am in and if I happen upon a certain eatery.
Chile Verde? (I can do that really well) and then there is a Viet Nam restaurant fairly close by here that has some fantastic stews. I tend to go for the duck right now, but the other ones are really good too.
And then when I need to I can make some really good lentil bean soup.
Going back about 20 years or so I took a relative down to the Monterey Bay Aquarium right after the new years which of course was about the worst time for the tourism season and you should have seen the dinner we got at a sea side restaurant!
I’m with you. A nice thick pea soup is the best. Next I’ll take clam chowdah.
Miso soup is one of the easiest, lightest, healthiest and most restorative soups out there. And its made with one of the healthiest forms of soy, miso. Miso is fermented so its good for the digestion and has other healthy properties. Some misos are fermented with grains such as barley and rice. There are many different types of miso exhibiting different colors and strength of flavor. (The main three are white, yellow, and red.) A good rule of thumb is that a dark miso will be more intensely flavored and saltier than a lighter miso.
Anything to do with Thailand used to get at least one "THAILAND?" response.
I think it came from when that weird guy got extradited to the US from Thailand after falsely claiming to have killed JonBenet Ramsey.
Noted for future.
Thank you.
Brooklyn! Of course, it’s been awhile since I read the book.
Since I love to bake, can I give you a tip with a boxed cake? Make sure it’s chocolate (never yellow or white!), add lots of eggs and vanilla and dump in some chocolate chips. This boosts the flavor and disguises the “boxed” taste. I then make a ganache with cream and melted dark chocolate bars and pour it all over. Follow this recipe and everyone will think you’re a great baker!
Everyone started going "Thailand?"
It went on for pages.
So now if any mention is made of Thailand at all, someone will go "Thailand?".
Do you know about stuning a beeber in Tijuna?
