I grew up as a US Army dependent in Japan 1956-58. Played baseball with Japanese kids, plus Issei-Nissei-Sansei kids who were 100% Americans and talked like it.
But ever since 1982 there’s been a growing attitude among J-A’s that they or their grandparents were wronged during WWII and that the rest of us now owe them.
