Do you realize it never occurred to the wife of the BTK serial murderer that her husband would ever hurt anyone? I believe he committed those murders over a fifteen year spread, too.

The letter specifically says that it was sent to clear up a mismatch in her SS number so that the SS office could begin to apply her earnings to her SS record and that it makes NO statements as to their immigration status. So what happens if the person never "clears" that up? Where do those 'earnings' get applied?
In fact, the letter explicitly states that it is not intended to question an individual’s immigration status.
