Thursday, 15 July 2010 17:56 0 Comments PRINCE Salman bin Abdulaziz, the brother of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, and governor of Riad, is in Marbella to continue with the familys traditional yearly summer visit. The palace is prepared and surrounded by security, and the entourage of almost 100 people has arrived via Malaga airport.
The Abdulaziz Al Saud mosque, built in honour of the deceased king and connected to the palace via a private path, has also been prepared ready for their visits.
The prince is expected to offer a reception at the palace for local authorities and the Arab community on the Costa del Sol.

The Saudi Prince, Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who is brother to the late King Fahd, has arrived in Marbella for a summer break. His entourage is of more than 100 people, and dozens of locals have also been contracted into service.
Municipal sources have confirmed the prince arrived on Monday, and note that they have also taken rooms in several hotels including the Marbella Club, Puente Romano and Don Pepe. The Saudi Royal Family has been spending its holidays in Marbella for the past 30 years, and their yacht, Shaf can be seen in Puerto Banús.

After a decade of political scandal, planning abuse and negative media coverage, it looks like Marbella is getting its mojo back. The place is packed with tourists, with visitors from the Middle East particularly prevalent at the moment. Various parties seem interested in investing in projects such as the extension of the local marinas, but perhaps the biggest lift it has received was the news this week that Michelle Obama (the First Lady, no less) is due to come to Marbella on holiday for 4 days next week. Of course, rumours are rife that the President himself will be coming to join his wife during her stay. The hotel where Obama will be staying, the opulent Villa Padierna, has been preparing for her arrival for weeks, and the hotel has been scrutinized several time already by Secret Service staff.
The other highly notable name here in Marbella at the moment is the Saudi Prince, Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, brother of the late King Fahd (and you thought I was going to say Peter Andre, didn´t you?!!). With an entourage of over 100, the compound of lavish palaces on Marbella´s Golden Mile, together with suites at several of the neighbouring 5 star hotels, is being used as their base. The Saudi Royal Family have been holidaying in Marbella for 30 years, and their yacht, Shaf, is moored year-round in Puerto Banus, a 3 minute drive away.
Lots of police, lots of chauffeur-driven Mercs, lots of lavish parties, lots of Arab princes out partying I am sure you can picture the scene.

Euro Weekly news reported earlier this week that Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and a number of other high-profile royals are currently holidaying Marbella’s Al Riyad Palace.
The Prince and his entourage have reportedly been spotted “frequently” around the sea front and in the resort of Puerto Banus.
Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz’s yacht Shaf London is currently anchored close to the shore of Marbella.

Let’s assume that the Wookie has been dispatched to deliver a message too sensitive to be trusted with The One’s most likely 2012 opponent. What do you suppose that message might be?
The sheikh did say, however, that Marbella represented an excellent opportunity for investment due to its tourism potential and because it is a name that is recognised the world over. In the brief 20 minute meeting, the sheikh was accompanied by his top executive Abdullah Ghubn, the CEO of NAS, Al-Thanis group of 15 firms; by the lawyer, Yasmin Al Sahoud; and by Taysir Al Sahoud, another of his advisors.

The National Police are investigating a robbery report in the Marbella home of the Qatari Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani, the new owner of Malaga FC.
The alleged robbery occured Monday night, only five days after the Sheikh arrived in Puerto Banus, Marbella. Stolen itmes included six computers, eight cell phones and a Hublot luxury gold watch encrusted with diamonds as well as a Louis Vuitton bag.
QATARI Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani, who recently purchased Malaga Football Club, wants to create a new Puerto Banus in Marbella. This, apparently, is the important investment which the Mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, announced recently during a meeting with the sheikh. The plan is to expand La Bajadilla Marina, with an investment of 70 million euros.
According to reports in the local press, the sheikh planned to buy Puerto Banus itself, but was unable to do so because the area cannot be expanded. He therefore focused his interest on other areas.Miguel Gomez, the President of the Tourist Initiative Centre in Marbella has said that other Arab investors have their sights set on Marbella and the Costa del Sol as they consider it a safe place to invest.

Michelle Obama in Marbella
August 5, 2010 3:00 pm Its Business as Usual as Marbella Graciously Receives Michelle Obama in the Citys Charming Old Town - Press release from Marbella town hall.
Michelle Obamas visit to the Costa del Sol may be brief, but her brief stay is having the Midas touch on the image and popularity of Marbella.
Following Mrs. Obamas smooth arrival at the Villa Padierna Hotel in an impressive cavalcade of some twenty specially imported Chevrolets and armoured cars, she and her daughter Sasha were able to relax, have lunch and spend some time with Ricardo Arranz and Alicia Villapadierna, the owners of the areas most opulent hotel, who presented her with a magnificent array of gifts, including a flamenco dress, a hand-painted fan, a set of books on Picasso and an award-winning engraving, compliments of the Marbella Town Hall.
As a private visit, the agenda of Mrs. Obama and her daughter during their stay is not available to the public, but Michelle and a large entourage surprised residents of Marbella by taking a relaxed stroll in the afternoon in the quaint cobbled streets of the Casco Antiguo, Marbellas historic Old Town.
Passersby and residents of the charming neighbourhood were delighted when Mrs. Obama window-shopped, browsed souvenirs and stopped to buy two white summer dresses for her daughter and herself. The shop assistant was charmed by Mrs. Obamas charismatic presence and natural charm. She was extremely charming, and told me how much she loved Marbella. After purchasing a few more items, Mrs. Obama and her party stopped to dine early at the Buenaventura restaurant close to the Plaza de La Encarnación.
Despite exhaustive security measures - an estimated 70 secret service agents and 250 national police officers are employed in the operation of keeping the First Lady of the USA safe -
The optimism that one witnesses on the streets, in the shops and the numerous bars, cafes and restaurants has recently been bolstered by the announcement that Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani, the Qatari sheik who recently bought Mlaga football club, plans to invest a considerable amount of money in the town.
Details of this investment
are still sketchy, but a spokesman for the Mayors office has revealed that the project, related to the tourism and services industry, was in a very advanced stage and that it would benefit the local economy greatly.

just making sure they can live in exile in Saudi land.
This trip smelled fishy from day one. Her mother didn’t go and her mother always goes everywhere when there is a free trip. She went during the doofus’s birthday, she took one daughter with her, I could go on and on. This trip was a must for some very important reason. The question is, what is that reason?
We could hope that this is where they are planning to live when they are forced out of America for treason.
GET SCREENSHOTS!!! I’ve already run across some scrubbing.

Ahhh, the Ayatollah Obama’s are out of Muzzie cash. They haven’t had an infusion of cash since Obama forced GM into bankruptcy and trashed the greenie weenie car of the century, the GM Equinox hydrogen car because of ‘cost over runs’. Remember he all of a sudden changed his schedule for a stopover meet with King Abdullah to take him the good news that the hydrogen car had been dumped?
If you will remember on one of the early Glenn Beck programs when he interviewed the new AT&T guy appointed as head of GM, he asked him what happened to that car. The GM head muttered something about ‘cost over runs’. Glenn went on and on about how he had loved that car, as a GM spokesperson he had been one of the test driver’s of it.
The car had been on exhibit at Epcot Center in Florida...thousands of people were loving it. England was ready to import it, and Sir Richard Branson was ready to infuse cash into the deal to import it. And they had already started contracting for hydrogen fuel stops in California and New York. They were set to roll out this car in late 2011...

It’s only emission was H2O.
As soon as the bankruptcy was completed the car was yanked out of the Epcot Center exhibit, never to be seen again. And immediately Ayatollah Obama re-arranged his ME trip for a stopover in Saudi Arabia to visit the most influential OPEC member.
His plane is never searched upon return from either.

“President Bush when he was in office allocated approximately $2 billion in hydrogen highway research funds. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was pushing to get 200 hydrogen filling stations built by 2010 stretching from Vancouver, British Columbia, all the way down to Baja, California (but has fallen short of this goal because of a poor economy and lack of political will).”

Another confounded politician we didn’t elect!
Wonder if the USSS is present during any of these meetings...?
Sounds like a money drop trip. She is probably picking up the dough. Jesse Jackson is another interesting part of the deal. It doesn’t sound like he went with Michelle. Perhaps he is there to keep an eye on her for some patriot in the FBI(kinda a payback for not being prosecuted in the Blago mess?) Probably just wishful thinking..but Jesse seems to be in the middle of alot of corruption, so perhaps he is an informant.

Why am I NOT surprised by anything the Obamas do or say?
