Nicely done. Hopefully this never comes to pass...but being a realist, I hope that it doesn’t come to pass until my current undertaking is complete and I can relo to a safer area.
Be well.

Seasons in Hell is already on my reading stack from our previous conversations. Thanks. I’ll start it when I finish the 2-3 other books I have going now.

The poor, criminal and dependent ARE a market - - a big one. Some of the parts of that market are: drug dealers, a host of non-profits, grant writers, college diversity programs, bottom feeding lawyers, social workers, large foundations that use the poor to attack the middle class, people employed in useless government jobs... etc.etc. etc.
This would NOT be a war against poor inner city people. It would be a war against the machine that maintains the dependency for it's own gain.

This has got to be one of the kookiest and craziest, stupidest and vilest articles posted here, including all of the obvious tin-foil hat stuff.
Do you really think people have the energy and viciousness to go out hunting for their fellow citizens? Isn't there something shameful in the very idea?
The Balkan Wars of the 1990s were a continuation of conflicts that went back at three generations and sometimes much longer. They had their roots in long-term civilizational divisions.
If you think America has reached that point or will any time soon, there's something wrong with you.

Someone help me out. There's been a book mentioned around here written by a gentleman who lived thru the economic crisis in Argentina back whenever. I know Travis has mentioned it many times.
Since Travis is on a sabbatical from FR, can someone help me out with the title and author?
TIA.

I don’t buy the construct - comparing the next American civil war to third world civil wars that have essentially shaken out based on race and tribal identity (which have existed for hundreds if not thousands of years). This is a young nation of ideas and ideals, our first civil war was sparked and fought over ideas and I would expect any subsequent civil war to be fought over ideas as well.
