The “out of context” cover is complete BS. Watch and listen to the video. She is a bigot. So, she says a few things to try to soften her bigotry. She is still a Marxist bigot and needed to be outed.

Thank you so much. In 35 years in politics, I have never seen a more disgraceful act than the failure of the Washington conservative “leadership” failing to rise adamantly to Andrew’s defense. Perhaps, the “leadership” has forgotten the admonition of Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to remain silent.” That’s why for the first time ever, I signed my name to a post.

This speech that was excerpted by Breitbart is not racists, it's religious.

How is she a racist?

Did you miss this or do you have some glib explanation as to why she hurls racist attacks at opponents of Obama's health care. Or the insuation that the Bush administration was racist? Remember Kanye West, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

"You know, I haven't seen such a mean-spirited people as I've seen lately over this issue of health care. Some of the racism we thought was buried. Didn't it surface? Now, we endured eight years of the Bush's and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black President."

Breitbart wasn't in the wrong.

Breitbart was in the wrong. He got an excerpt and went to town with it. And he turned out to be catastrophically wrong.

Leave aside all of the undoubted errors of Ms. Sherrod's ways -- the question for Breitbart is still the same: did he take something out of context? Yes, he did.

Now Ms. Sherrod is a martyr ... and Breitbart is the guy who threw the torch that started the fire that burned her at the stake.

Ahhhh, but he's "conservative," so maybe honesty is not required? Isn't that a leftist sort of argument?

Thread winner!

I agree. We are at WAR with the liberal left. The Republic itself is at stake.

Total political annihilation is in order.

Yeah. He left out the other 40 minutes of racism.

"There really is no need to keep hammering your one nail - we get it! Breitbart is not perfect enough for you - so he should be chucked overboard."

First of all, I'm not "hammering a nail", I'm responding to criticism, just as I'm doing now. I'm sorry this seems to escape your grasp.

Second, I'm not "throwing Breitbart overboard", but I do think he owes Sharrod an apology. I'm not alone. As I mentioned earlier, many of the columnists over at NRO say the exact same thing. And, just this morning, Powerlineblog - hardly a leftist site - also called for an apology to Sherrod.

I get it. You, and many others on this thread, don't give a hoot about journalistic integrity, conservative principles, or intellectual integrity and honesty. You want to win at any cost, and destroy your political enemies. It's a perfectly understandable position, if not intellectually defensible.

"Feelings are not currency in this fight!!!"

Feelings? If anyone is acting emotionally here, it's you. You represent the emotion of disgust, resentment and loathing. I don't. I don't like advocacy or emotional journalism. I want factually accurate journalism, nothing more and nothing less. In this instance, Breitbart played fast and loose with the facts, and he should be acknowledge it and apologize for it.

I heard Ann Coulter go on and on and on last night, raving about what a wonderful speech this Sherrod person gave. As far as this cracker is concerned, I think the full-length speech was more damning than the excerpt Brietbart released.

I liked Glen Beck’s take on it. She shouldn’t have been fired for being a racist. She should be retained because she’s a Maoist, and fits right in with this bunch of crapweasles.

This is one of those rare instances where I disagree with Ann Coulter 100%.

Those who threw her out of the bunker are the ones that owe her anything if an apology.
Indeed if Obama was stupid enough to take the bait let him eat crow.

Breitbard owes no one an apology. He is owed an “atta boy” from all conservatives by Alinskying the radical left and the racial shakedown industry.

Breitbart BUMP.

The excerpt was right on the mark. The woman is a racist. I provided you with an example in her own words. She is guilty of racist attacks on the Reps, opponents of Obamacare, and the Bush administration. She sees everything thru the prisim of race.

Leave aside all of the undoubted errors of Ms. Sherrod's ways --

LOL. Yes, leave aside her overt and implicit racism. Let's divert attention from that and attack the messenger, Andrew Breitbart. He got the NAACP to condemn the woman even though they had the complete tape of the speech. And then he got the WH and the Dept of Agriculture to fire her. LOL.

Now Ms. Sherrod is a martyr ... and Breitbart is the guy who threw the torch that started the fire that burned her at the stake.

Let them make her a martyr. There is more info out there about her and the more people find out about it, the less sympathetic they will be to her. In any event, the NAACP and the WH are the ones who made her a martyr and they may soon regret that even more.

Ahhhh, but he's "conservative," so maybe honesty is not required? Isn't that a leftist sort of argument?

Phony strawman. View the entire speech as released by the NAACP. And I wonder why there is a gap in her remarks just at the point she was talking about what she did to help the farmer. I am cynical enough to believe the NAACP edited the tape to remove some not so flattering remarks.
