The slaughter of six million pigs by FDR's Administration in the face of unprecedented unemployment and suffering during the Great Depression was unconscionable. One wonders what will tip the scales for Obama? What a crock of sh!t. No ridiculous action tipped the scales for FDR (heck, a lot of folks still think he's some sort of god), and by that measure, nothing will now. People still blame Hoover, and the history books will still blame Bush a hundred years from now.

Your premise is a little skewed. In fact the Hog Reduction Program of the AAA did package the meat and distribute it to the hungry and needy. The program was not mandatory, and farmers willingly participated as they were going bankrupt from oversupply and lack of demand.
The stories of forced slaughtering of millions of pigs and burying them into huge pits or rolling them into rivers are all false, a product of urban myth and yellow journalism,
