He has had a wonderful vacation and sight-seeing tour ... at taxpayer expense!

"What do you expect him[Obama] to do? He doesn't have green underwater engineering". - David Brooks
Well, he's been hailed as a savior so personally I expected him to put on the scuba gear, dive into the depth of the Gulf and plug the hole himself. Same was expected out of Bush, right? Get behind a wheel and drive off unwilling people to safety and then deliver supplies through inaccessible and submerged roads after Katrina.

Heroic????? I think he meant to say “moronic” but wasn’t “man” enough to say so.

So it is heroic to ignore the American people, spend trillions growing government and do absolutely nothing to grow jobs outside of Washington DC. Republicans like David Brooks are the problem. They are idiots and soft and value their standing among liberals than they do the truth.

Seriously, does Brooks have bisexual leanings?

That’s an interesting way of putting it.

Brooks has bought into Obamanism hook, line and sinker. It seems that he goes out of his way to sing the praises of his “messiah”.

Hotair quotes Brooks as saying, “He doesn’t have green underwater engineering,” but if you’ll listen to the clip, he actually said, “He doesn’t have a degree in underwater engineering.”
The “heroic” statement is asinine. Did Brooks perhaps mean to say “historic”? I could agree with that, in a bad way.

I don’t agree about the heroic presidency.
But there’s another subtler point that he’s making, which is this:
For those on the Left who expect government do make everything work, this is extra surprising, and observe that it is the Left that is bellowing longest and loudest against Obama right now.
For those on the Right that know government is ultimately not the answer to all problems, this is less surprising and disheartening. We already knew that Obama was not a Messiah, so now we are just watching our correct interpretation of his character unfold, whereas for the Left this is another notch down for their estimation of their Annointed One. (Remember around the time he made a decision on Afghanistan there was widespread disappointment on the Left about that fact that he didn’t pull out troops.)
However much we on the Right hate this debacle, its both tragic and predictable.

Heroic? Mr. “Vote Present”? Harry Truman once said, “The buck stops here.” Obama says, “The buck never got here.”

That David Brooks: he's a regular laugh riot!!! The funniest Beltway comic since Pat Paulson left 'em rolling in the aisles of Congress. Obama "heroic"? Oh, man, the Coke just came flying out of my nose with that one! And speaking of Coke and Noses, let's talk about Obama's college years -
baddoom boom, tsssch!!! Thank you, you're too kind! Of course, that's completely off the record - kinda like Barack's grades at Harvard.
Bad-ump-ump tssch!!You're too kind. I'd take you all home but they don't allow pets in my apartment. "Bump -tsschhh!"!

All I can tell you is that, from the POV of a heterosexual woman, Brooks comes across as ‘bi-curious’ at best.
