When I lived near Alamagordo, I noticed signs in German, and the cable had a German language news channel...it seems that the Wehrmacht trains there.

I drove through there in 2003 and saw the same thing. Billboards in German in the middle of nowhere. It was the Bundesluft or something like that, now I think they go by 'Luftwaffe' again.

I would estimate 100% casualty rate for the Russkies.

Closer to 300% here in Texas with peripheral gun fights caused by several people claiming each kill. Sort of like too many folks on a duck pond when a flock tries to land!

The Wehrmacht ceased to exist in 1945.

The Federal German Defense Force is the Bundeswehr.

The Air Force is the Luftwaffe.

They’ve been training in New Mexico since the 1950’s.

Did the Russians have snow on their boots as they did when there were numerous reports of sightings in Britain during World War I? They "seen" by many; or rather many knew of others who had seen them. The rumor got lots of press and was credited. They were allegedly en route to the eastern front. According to this report, it was believed by German Intelligence, and cause great alarm there. It was of course merely a rumor, and that was back before Al Gore invented the internet.

True. And also fighting over the scalps could cause collateral damage.

Please make sure the INTEL is Solid and Confirmed and not some rumors heard through unreliable third parties or websites.

Unintentionally hilarious.

Minister Lavrov asked “Knowing our capabilities as you do and how the American’s would react what would you expect our losses to be if we were to agree to send security forces to America as part of a larger international force?” I paused for a moment and told him that Russia should expect 75% to 80% causalities and that Russian/American relations would be seriously compromised for at least 2 generations.

And that's why these rumors are just rumors. Last time USSR sent troops abroad "on request of a friendly government" was 70's and Afghanistan. That didn't end all that well.

On top of that, a force that takes 75-80% of casualties is effectively destroyed. It ceases to be a fighting force much earlier than that. So what's the point again?

Additionally, if Napolitano (or Obama) calls Putin and asks him to send troops, Putin most likely will refuse. This is because Russia will benefit from internal strife in the USA, and though it might eventually align with the winner, it would first let the herd to thin itself out.

If all of that is not enough: who exactly are those troops are going to fight? What is the plan? There is no well-defined "resistance movement" in the USA, there is no political force that would lead it, there is not even a reason yet for such a movement to exist.

The most likely foreign soldiers on the US soil would be actually Mexican Army. They are known to cross the border now and then, with no reaction from the US government.

There are other weird turns of phrase in the article. For example, it says that the meeting is "deep below Kremlin." But such a meeting would be most likely held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which looks roomy enough to hold meetings of any size, and I presume in a secure environment. Moscow Kremlin is pretty small, and a good part of it is museums. There are many other government buildings in Moscow, where various people can be brought in without anyone noticing.
