You’re right, I’m wrong. Apparently this issue needed the appearance of bipartisanship that is why Snowe’s participation was solicited by Democrats.
The point is the president stated that a party couldn’t govern by straight partisanship. And Snowe provides the veneer of bipartisanship every time she votes against the interest of the country and sides with Democrats.
