Good article.. You better have a flame suit on..
Earmarks are bad. Congress should not determine how the money is spent. That should be left to the executive branch.
The Paulbots have become as annoying as the LaRaouchebots.
LOL!
I have posted the below statments on several Ron Paul threads.

How can anybody trust libertarians when their favorite
son loads up legislation that he knows will pass and
gives the pork while giggling I voted against it.?

Shrimp boats Is Acomin
Their Sails are in sight.
Shrimp Boats is acomin

Shrimp Boats is acomin
They will be drugged up tonight.
You can't turn around in this forum without bumping into a paulbot bashing everyone, illogically.
Ron Paul is a hero of mine. Go Ron Paul!
Paul is a fraud and charlatan....lol
loony tunes
wacky barachters
I'm guessing the author would find him more agreeable if he voted for programs, but didn't earmark any for his own district.
And then he's going to tell us how the US is to blame for all of the terrorist attacks against us.
If Ron Paul really wanted to bring home the bacon for his constituents, he'd earmark money for an aluminum foil factory.
>”If Ron Paul really wanted to bring home the bacon for his constituents, he’d earmark money for an aluminum foil factory. “
LMAO
Ron Paul and his supporters are all liberals, period.
That is one of his schticks.. Originally it was "well I voted against it.." which didn't last long because he did vote for some and also it doesn't really address he is responsible for them in the first place.
The next schtick was "..it is just returning money back to the taxpayers..". This also didn't last long because it sounds just like a redistributionist argument and it really doesn't go back to the taxpayers, just some select organizations. The next schtick was "..if we don't spend it, the President decides where the money goes..". This is shot down with the simple knowledge that the executive discretionary budget has absolutely nothing to do with unspent money in bills.
The schtick "..*every* dollar Congress spends *should* be ear marked.." probably won't last long either as earmarking is spending without representation as the earmarks are rarely added to bills that have anything to do with their content. For example, it is like a couple of years ago, Nancy Pelosi's $1.4Million earmark for the study of San Francisco Bay Shrimp farming that was added to a defense bill. What congress voted on was the defense bill, what some of the money went for was studying Bay area shrimp. You have to admit, that is outrageous, don't you?
Good to see the Left Wing on Foreign Policy and National Security and liberal on social agenda, Ron Paul exposed.
FR has become a 2nd rate version of DU and Daily KOS
with the PaulBots spending their days and evenings posting
Paul’s Left Wing propaganda.
You wonder if any of them actually have a real 8 hr a day 5 days a week job or just on the Paul payroll.
Great article ping.
No flaming from me. Good find!
Most true.
They are plotting their response in mother's basements around the country as we speak...
Fear the Paulbot, he may spill you latte on you as he serves it.
“When I wrote “Earmarking Our Way to Oblivion” I purposefully left out any mention of Ron Paul even though I knew he was just as dirty as all the rest.”
Would you like a redo?
