That new-fangled digital gizmo stuff sho do make life interesting!
Mine’s been totally broken for weeks. That’s how I’m posting this now.
Looks like I came on at the end of the thread but I read all through it and find it interesting that people all over are having cable connection troubles.
Especially when Suddenlink said “the satellite seems to have moved”.
Would I be ‘way out there’ if I said ‘what’s going on?
Why did we just send up a rocket with no explanation of ‘what for’? I better go to bed before my conspiracy ideas go wild, lol.
Are you logged in?
(hopefully no one else asked before me)(fingers crossed)
Try AT&T. Some of their customers are strange and and some are fine.
Maybe ZerO and his goons are busy getting control of the internet so we have these ‘interruptions’ whilst they fiddle with cyberspace...who knows how far he will reach in ‘fundamentally transforming’ us. Sounds conspiratory I know, but I don’t put anything past this bunch, so my suspicion meter is always way up! Never happened before ZerO was elected...a point to ponder!
I did not like that my landline phone was dead along with the internet, I have an elderly ill mother on oxygen and cannot be cut off like that.
I’m ‘way out there’ too, see my last post, lol!
I see TouristGuy was vacationing with the obama's.
/sarc
lol
I regularly get ‘kicked’ off by my wife complaining about the time I spend on the ‘puter. Not a Verizon problem though - it must be you.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama tinkered with the internet, it’s the most effective tool against him now.
If the cable company isn’t getting the signal from the satellite correctly, then something’s changed. I also have a phone that is on cable and it was going out too.
I certainly understand your fear of loosing electric power in your mothers case.
[Especially when Suddenlink said the satellite seems to have moved.]
Drudge headline May 11, 2010;
Drifting satellite threatens US cable programming
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9FKQ7QG4&show_article=1
That is weird.
Why would that happen?
I thought it was my computer but finally called Suddenlink Cable company twice, the second time they said they were ‘working on it, that the satellite had moved’!
Sounded strange to me but when they got it fixed I suddenly had a new internet icon and I had to reset my wireless connection as it didn't have the proper url anymore.
As a sidenote, I've been fighting a ‘re-director virus’ ever since then and even wonder if they somehow let something get through, left a port open or something when the trouble was happening. I was using Windows Firewall at that time.
I saw the headline on Drudge and thought it just might apply to what happened to me.
