Seems like you can do anything you want and as long as you know something else that they want to know you ask for an immunity deal. The president OKs it every time.
Having the lives of 10 million innocent American people as a bargaining chip tends to help your situation ... unless it runs into the President’s peace agreement — then you’re SOL.

Okay, now I remember. I knew Jack was there when Tony went postal and then “died”,. Dumbest ever idea to bring Tony back to life. Couldn’t they have just put him in a coma?
I heard that the writers can be impulsive about deciding who is going and who stays.
I’ll bet after they offed Tony, they got alot of viewer complaints.
It’s the same with Renee...but fans don’t have enough time(or power!) to make an effect.
But then, I am not one to criticize the BEST SHOW ON TV..
What are we going to do when it’s gone? Maybe we can start a 24 grief support group.
Okay, SD, what’s wrong with Chloe? And will she redeem herself or have to be taken out for her stupidity/betrayal of her friend Jack? I think Allison T. is going to get it...and Logan, of course. Who else?
What did Jack mean that he “knows” Chloe: that she would be loyal to presidential orders or that she was capable of betrayal?
I think he meant that he know Chloe well enough to know that she would try to carry out her orders to bring him in, and thus would know that the laundry place was a set-up.
One can also recognize Chloe’s quick thinking in “knowing Jack” as she does, and that he would realize it was a set-up and neutralize the CTU agents, while enlisting the assistance of Cole (who she sent there knowing Jack trusted him). She was able to follow orders and help Jack at the same time, and no one the wiser.
Beat of all, we got to see Chloe do that thing with her facial muscles that she does when under stress and that’s worth the entire episode right there!
(I still wonder when someone is going to find the dead probation officer stuffed behind that wall...)
Hi bb,
Sometimes 24 writers “forget” about minor happenings like the dead probation officer in the vent. They’ve got bigger fish to fry.
Good analysis of why Chloe did what she did. But it could have been a disaster for Jack and she should have warned him privately. Very risky for her.
But that’s our Jack: prepared for any emergency!
Okay, let’s start predicting who’s going to make it to the big screen and who isn’t.
And if that frikkin peace agreement wins out, I’m no longer a fan. Also, I want to see some serious torture of Dana next week: no wussy waterboarding. Let’s get to the zapper!
Tonight’s episode(May 3): Rate on a scale of 1-10.
I give it an 8.
Did you think that our Jack was gonna have the nerve to “off” Dana?
What is his mental state right now?
Not the first time he’s killed an unarmed bad guy. He offed Nina Myers (Ssn 3) and the sniper that hit David Palmer (Ssn 5) in pretty much the same way.
“You have no further information to offer.” Bang. Bang.
He’s been known to blast people that piss him off.
SnakeDoc
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Katee Sackoff won’t be in the movie.
Well, no, now that Jack offed her.
Yeah, I think when he uses the words, “you have no further information” or “there is nothing you can do” (to Dana’s plea about what could be done to solve the problem), that’s not a good sign for one’s future.
OMG: Did you guys watch Jack tonight?(May 10)? He’s semi postal but in a totally vintage Jack Bauer fan pleaser kinda way. REVENGE IS SWEET and we aren’t in Libland anymore! I won’t tell you what he did to the Russian who offed Renee in case you didn’t see it ...but when you are able, please weigh in to gasp and sputter with me!
This is going to be a very Jackinator shock and awe finale!
And with Jack on the run, Logan better watch his back, front and sides: President Taylor too.
I really hope that the story line ends well. Would be great if ALL the electeds/pols who are betraying the country turn out to be dims. Sort of a farewell zinger for the series to leave on a great note.
I’m sure Logan’s underwear is very wet and full. Going to be a great final 3 hours!!!!
“You have reached the cellular number of President Charles Logan ...”
Chuck is in a lot of trouble.
SnakeDoc
LOL, SD.
That was really dumb, however, that the message identified him as President Charles Logan rather than a remote, anonymous line.
