I think the more interesting question is:

Does Obama need Biden on the ticket in 2012? Who would be Obama's VP on the 2012 ticket?

It is widely believed that Biden was chosen to address the "experience" issue hanging over Obama. In 2012, there will be no question as to Obama's experience. Obama won't need Biden anymore.

What will Obama need from a VP candidate in 2012? Whom might Obama choose to strengthen his ticket when he runs again?
