Do people really think those GM cars sold in china are made in america? Yeah right. Chevy suburbans, corvettes, and buicks are selling like hotcakes in china. you betchya.
Trump said i think obama is doing a good job. when he first was in office huh? he s apuppet of corporate bankers and their gig is up
You sound like Ron Paul.
That’s already been done.
You might well be right. I think we will be getting that collapse. There is no way the government can continue to pay for huge budget deficits with funny money. Hyperinflation then collapse...
Brilliant. Seriously, that is a good idea. We could also perhaps put in place some environmental requirements for their source plants... under the guise of “global warming”
Donald Trump is Gloria Allred in drag with a bad comb over. She pretends she is legally smart while he pretends he is rich.
Donald’s 100% right.
We are SO being played for foolish chumps.
Our nation and our way of life is being squandered right in front of our eyes.
And nobody is willing to say so.
Actually, I’d take that bet. Buicks do sell the best there, according to recent reports. The Chinese apparently are going through their version of the American 1950s, when bigger is better, and they like Buicks. Go figure. As to whether they’re made in America, I’m sure they’re not. My point was that if we decided to begin a trade war with China, they would retaliate... against imports or in-country manufacturing. I’m also not saying it would be a bad thing. Just a little speculation.
Can I add the NEH and NEA to that list of vampiric government agencies? :)
China would be really dumb to put tariffs on products produced in china by chinese workers.
No...Ron Paul would say that the US government is behind 911 and we didnt have any reason to attack our enemies overseas-what a friggan loon the guy is.
So they’ve canceled all product shipments to the USA from China? When did that happen?
I meant EVERYTHING. Until they can show the world that their products are safe and meet state safety standards and Fed standards, no shipments to here.
Feel free..and add any more that you can think off.
Its spring and spring means cleaning.
Exactly..you see..then it puts the blame on them and we can say to the world, “Lookie here..we have been trying to clean up this and that for years now and these Red Chinese are simply throwing wrenches into the works.”
On that issue, the Red Chinese do not want attention thrown their way.
I would rather NOT pay MORE for items that subsidize unions. I'm disappointed that you see it the other way around. I am for a free market. I would prefer that we become more competitive and let the market, or the buyer decide. Forcing, over priced products made in the U.S., is hardly a capitalistic market place. It denies free market principles and fails to address the real problem - being competitive in a global market place.
China is eating our lunch economically. There is no question on that. Punishing them because the U.S. is not very competitive is idiotic. Yes, we can envy China for the economic power house it has become but it won't change how UNCOMPETITVE the U.S. has become. It's up to the U.S. to become more competitive.
Heck, China is more capitalistic than the U.S.! The U.S. is becoming more communist and why the Chinese LAUGH at our economic policies - they've been there and KNOW where it leads.
Why do you think the Chinese no longer want to buy our debt? They see the U.S. as a risky investment and are diversifying their wealth in other countries. The Chinese are buying just enough of our debt to maintain the existing debt they own. Unfortunately the Chinese are buying LESS of the U.S. debt. You'd better pray the Chinese don't unload it and bring the dollar even lower.
Yes, I understand U.S. pride but taxing us more is not the answer. GOOD GRIEF!
Yes, Japan is taking on more of our debt because China sees our DECLINE. The Chinese aren't really on the “hook”. It is the U.S. that is on the “hook” n a HUGE way. Our country is bankrupt and we can't print enough money to cover our debt.
China is backing off buying our debt. China KNOWS we are heading in the wrong direction. Yes, believe it or not, China is more capitalistic than the U.S.. The U.S. is becoming a poor country that is taxed to death and oddly enough, some people on this thread want MORE taxes because China is more competitive. The punish the successful is now being applied to China - go figure! It makes one wonder if they don't secretly relate to Obama and his economic policies of punish the achievers ... .
The answer is LOWERING our TAXES - especially on businesses so that the U.S. may regain our competitive position in the world instead of taxing us down the drain.
I am a 100% free market type as well, but the Chinese have been unfairly manipulating their currency value for quite some time ... this is adding to the world economic troubles.
A free marketplace requires a level playing field, and about the only way to get that with commies is to drub the Chinese for their shenanigans ... But I doubt that will be forthcoming as long as Obozo is around.
Do you think the USA will ever become competitive when the Democrats use our market as their person vote buying machine? I mean, the Democrat’s energy independence lies have been pushed for so long and the American people seem not to get it. As it is now, the only competitive disadvantage we have is sky high corporate taxes. Look how Honda builds in the USA with USA workers.
Again, if the U.S. makes an inferior product, as we do ... , should someone be forced to buy it?
I don't own a car by any of the manufacturers you mentioned. I wouldn't want one. I look at quality and price and the U.S. car makers come up short. Again, here is evidence of the failure America car manufacturers were in the “cash for clunkers” program.
