In the theater even. Maybe not day of release, but close.
Rumor is the “Renegade” version is an edit that chops it up so much it eviscerates the whole “alien” thing and manages to turn it into a viable sequel, way different than the original atrocity.
I can’t quite bring myself to watch it.
