Great film making!
Ping
Yeah what happen they found bit and piece of movie Metropolis in some Argentina archive yeah this time most complete version of the movie not that like Moderer version that came out in 1984 now they think movie is completely restored there one scene in this version that little bit wear and tear they think they found more complete version of Metropolis ever this time going be release on DVD and Blue ray for first time
Sweet
I hope it is better than the last restoration.
Great film.
I have Fritz Lang’s M on double DVDs
with sub titles.
Some of Lang’s earlier series were great also.
Dr. Mabuse, The Gambler. It is a little over 4 hrs.
made in Germany
Also The Testament of Dr. Mabuse made in 1933 in German
Both are also good.
Saw “M” years ago. It is very good.
No. Both are great. As are Spies, and most of Lang's other films. he was one of the all-time greats.
No. Both are great
You are correct.
M and Dr. Mabuse can be seen over and over and you
still pick up new aspects.
Am re-reading Rise and Fall... for the fourth time. It gets more frightening each reading. It appears to be a how-to book for the current administration. Still shake my head when I think Hitler could have been stopped when they entered the Rhineland..and M is a great film. And Peter Lorre was great.
OH Yeah I hear it going be great restoration they have article in WSJ other day about it
Cool! I love that film.
An amazing performance by Lorre. Disturbing that one can feel even remote sympathy for a child killer. Lorre plays the tormented killer convincingly and the victims families are heartbreaking.
I will have to watch at my leisure.
I watched #1. Lang’s use of light is excellent.
ping for later
Is this going to be along the lines of the state making everyman a criminal?
I tend to whistle “Hall of the Mountain King” for days after watching “M”.
Check out archive.org. Of course the remastered version will be superior, this version will still affect you.

This site has over a thousand movies in the public domain as well as commericals, TV shows and other great multi media files.
The Film Noir collection is cool.
