But it doesn't really matter. He was born of two citizens, and "in the armies of the country". See Book 1 section 217, "Law of Nations". Persons who are outside the country, but serving it, are not considered to have left it's jurisdiction. It's a perfectly sensible notion. But with regards to McStain, it's also moot, he's not running again.
Which is an obvious fake. Look at the place where the child's name is, and observe how the line does *not* go through the text, meaning the text is somehow over the line, but the break in the line just fits the text. That's only the most obvious "problem". That image was not released by McCain or his campaign, but rather by someone challenging his NBC status.
Our, NBC is based on Constitution, which language in turn is based on understanding of founders, which in turn is to be found in English common law. Still hanging your hat on Dicey's "Conflict of Laws", I see. LOL. You need to get back in the books, monkey-boy.

Here's the map. Colon is not in the Zone and never was. And it really makes no difference, the Zone was part of a foreign country, Panama, and still is.
The location of the hospital is clearly identified and it is outside the Zone. At the time of McCain's birth, it was the only hospital readily accessible from the base.
Take a look at your own map.
Coco Solo Naval Station in the upper right is IN the Canal Zone. Only the confines of old Colon were given to Panama.
I lived in Panama. I know where the boundaries are. Why are you obsessing on your false premise?
Normally, I don't waste the time dealing with people like you.
The map clearly lables Colon as in Panama and the area outside of Colon to the extent the zone is applicable; and identifes the base as clearly being outside Colon.
And, the essential legal point here is that Zone, Base, City, and Hospital are all in the country of Panama, not in the several states of the United States and thus someone born there can't be a "Natural Born Citizen"--in fact, there is some doubt as to John's citizenship status at all--the statute under which he claims citizenship was adopted several years after his birth and is specifically not retroactive.
OK you’re right. All that time I spent in the Canal Zone was wasted now that I know a real geographical expert like you is out there to keep me straight.
How’s the weather out there in Area 51?
