90% of everything the Federal government does is unconstitutional.
Congress would still have to vote on it.
Harry Reid is one of the greatest failures in Senate history. Even with a 60 vote majority, he could get nothing done.
The only re-do I would accept is one that ditches the debate about health insurance and focuses entirely on how we are going to increase the number of doctors.
Obama is set to destroy every avenue, every particle of our constitution and then set in place Sharia LAW because HE IS A MUSLIM! THIS IS HIS GOAL<HIS PURPOSE! Pray hard for America - TRUTH needs to TRIUMPH over EVIL! Don’t sit idly by - fax, e-mail, send calls and notes to every Representative, every Senator and tell them to JUST SAY NO!
“Obama is writing a legislative bill. How can this be constitutional?”
And the SCOTUS will strike it down because it is unconstitutional because it is not presidential authority to do so. They need to fire a shot across Obozo’s bow either privately or publically. I prefer publically.
***SCOTUS will strike it down***
Will the center hold? How soon will he be nominating another SCOTUS justice?
This *summit* might just be a deke. Put it off until a challenge will not be mounted by SCOTUS.
(Paranoia - it’s taking hold;)
“Congress would still have to vote on it.”
I realize that.
But how would you feel if Justice Ginsburg wrote a legislative health bill and then Congress voted on it? There are THREE branches of govt..
Jay Sekulow is a great and successful attorney, and he feels Obama is sidestepping the legislative process.
“Dont sit idly by - fax, e-mail, send calls and notes to every Representative, every Senator and tell them to JUST SAY NO!”
Absolutely. The govt.-run health bill seemed dead, but the Dems don’t give up, so we better not, either.
I’ll worry more if Obama tries to implement the monstrosity thru executive orders! Many presidents have worked thru various “committes” to craft bills in the past, but all have had to get congress to approve them.
Article I, Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
“All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”
Doesn’t say anything about the President originating revenue bills.
I wouldnt give twenty cents on a bet on whether or not the Supreme Court will turn down a Health care Bill.
Remember the Chief Justice swore this Kenyan into office.
If democrats do anything unconstitutional, don’t expect to hear from Mitchie the Kid. Wouldn’t be BIPARTISAN!!
I posted this on another forum:
What bothers me the most in all this, is where is the strong denouncing of these Chicago thugs by Republicans? Is there not a Jesse Helms amongst them?
Impeach!!!
Thanks for pointing that out.
Also, even Reuters, hardly from the right, is calling it legislation:
“The legislation the White House will post on its website”
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2455279/posts
It's becoming clearer and clearer that Obama, with his reckless spending, is trying to crash the economy as quickly as possible as a means to justify and "activate" ObamaCare. Going to the American people to say, “we have to — we're broke,” justifies his going around a “deadlocked” Congress.
