I was surprised to see Obama's eligibility being question in a Brazilian blog.

You know the other world leaders know the truth by their reactions to him.

I try not to respond to any of their posts. Sometimes I fail to read the poster’s name and reply. Then I kick myself. FR needs a 30 second edit button.

I have no idea why Free Republic is permitting so many people deeply interested the precise of Barack Obama to be ridiculed and heckled and cyberstalked, it's way crossed the line. Who knows? Maybe the mods are bored and it amuses them???

“His status is not “governed” by Great Britain. His status is governed by the Constitution.

Tomorrow morning, France could declare that all residents of North Dakota are now French citizens. Would that make all residents of North Dakota ineligible to be president?

What is astounding is that Justice Roberts has spent a career limiting standing to great applause from conservative legal scholars. And Justice Scalia has spent a career fighting the use of foreign law in US courts.

And now, we are supposed to abandon those principles because it helps in these eligibility cases.”

Sadly, to the obsessed, everything is secondary to their obsession. Reminds me that bit from “A Man For All Seasons”:

William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ‘round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

“More Walter Mitty fantasy. Now the Birthers see themselves as the Continental Army at Valley Forge. Next They'll be reciting Thomas Paine, and accusing other Freepers of being “summer soldiers and sunshine patriots.” Or have they already, and I just missed the post?

Freepers: if you want to serve Obama, be a Birther. Its does no good, and helps paint everyone who opposes Obama as a cry baby, trying to overturn an election based on their opinion that, like Dan Rather, they haven't been convinced of something.

If you want to oppose Obama, do something. Run for office. Run for precinct chair. Volunteer to help with the Republican sign committee, or the committee that transports voters to the polls. And if there isn't one, organize it, and get volunteers to help you. Block walk for Republican candidates. Get trained on ballot security, and take off work to be a poll watcher.

Do, don't dream!”

Exactly right. I've done that sort of thing on multiple occasions. I wonder how many of those screeching troll and Obot have?

Regarding 9. Obama has set a good example for America’s children according to Bill O’Reilly’s article in Parade Magazine.

They risked their livelyhoods for what was thought at the time to be too risky and crazy by a majority of people in the colonies. True or False? True, of course. Now, what she is doing is risking her livelyhood for what many would have us believe is too risky and crazy. True or False? True as well. Therefore, there is no similarity there? Interesting. Dr. Taitz is clearly, by no means an experienced attorney. She's obviously made many errors. Do other attorney's have more experience, and therefore a better chance at getting this issue before the courts? Of course.

What's the deal with using the alinsky tacktic of calling anyone who questions Barry's eligibilty a "birther?" A "birther" is one who is concerned about his place of birth (i.e. birth certificate). Right? While I do have doubts about his place of birth, his being born with foreign citizenship is the much bigger concern for me and many others as well (see my tagline). Therefore, if you are so compelled to put a lable on me, call me a dualer. As in dual citizenship at birth (assuming birth in HI).

I've never seen this as an "either or" type situation. Either I work on exposing the usurper, or I work on trying to politically defeat him. This is far bigger than party politics for me. Furthermore, I'm fairly good at multitasking. Working on exposing the usurper before he's allowed to finish a term and set a precident for the future. That being anyone born with foreign citizenship is eligibile to be our Commander in Chief. A very dangerous precedent IMO. I can also work at my local level by helping to get conservatives elected. I can also donate money when and wherever I can. I can also join in letter writting campaings for various issues. I can also help to educate a largely uneducated citizenry about our country's founding history so that as we move into the future, we don't loose even more of our Constitution simply because we were not informed enough to keep that from happening. I can....and I am.

For me, it's not either / or.

There are many absurd things the Constitution doesn't forbid,

Was it the first generation "American" citizen's (who were born British citizen) their intentions or to allow other British citizens to become future President of the United States of America???

He was born with British citizenship no matter where he was born. He inherited that foreign citizenship from his foreign national father. US laws can not prevent a foreigner from passing their citizenship on to their child. The opposite is true as well.

International law recognizes this.

In your scnenario, it would not be recognized internationally. Besides, the US could then declare all French citizens (including the previous ND residents) to be US citizens. It's absurd. Not only that, but it would cause a war between the country's.

So far as I can tell, there are only two way's he get's "out" of having been born with foreign citizenship, inherited from his father. 1) Sr. really isn't his father or 2) The marriage between his parents (recognized by the state of HI as valid in the 1964 divorce record) is subsequently determined to be illegal.

Either of those scenarios is a no win situation for ole' Barry. Most of the conservatives and moderates that have been protecting him re: his eligibility problem, would then bail on him, IMO.
