So how long have you thought that Obama is a LIHOP kind of guy over the underwear bomber incident?
Yep. Who gave the Lege the authority to override parental judgement?
Do you hold Perry responsible for what the people he appoints do?
If he appoints or retains them, he is responsible for their decisions.
hockey-doc, Giardasil may be a safe and efficacious vaccine, but it's not right to presume that all females from grade 6+ are sexually active. There are other methods of preventing STD's.
And arrogant. It was the first thing that really caught my attention during the interview.
*************************
Agreed.
The vaccine is made the way insulin and many other vaccines are made today.
Wonder how the doctor could determine that the vaccine caused the TIA’s, memory problems, or migraines? (Although the latter two could be caused by the first.)
What you don’t know is how I’ve testified against the opt-out-each-year requirement (vs. opt in or opt out once for the school years) and against other anti-family assumptions (and mocking of those opposed to mandatory vaccines) at Texas Medical Association meetings.
The people of the State of Texas elect our Legislature, so we gave them the authority, repeatedly. Just as we gave them the authority to prohibit making Gardasil mandatory. That prohibition runs out in 2011, btw. Let your reps know how you feel.
Since we agree that the Governor should be held accountable for what his appointees do, I would hope that we’d agree that it’s good that he directed the DSHS to make filing the request to opt out much easier.
We don’t give the girls Gardasil at 11-12 because we assume that they are sexually active, any more than giving babies Hepatitis B vaccine proves that we believe they are sexually active or sharing needles and using IV drugs. The girls who got Gardasil at a younger age (the first trial included 1200 adolescents) made more antibodies measurable by blood test than the older women, and it’s convenient and it’s believed that it’s less disruptive to give it when they are due to get other boosters.
Well, Van Jones was attacked by Beck because he is a communist - first and foremost. As a side show it came up that he is a truther was well. Liberals latched onto the “truther conspiracy sin” as the reason he was kicked out of the White House. Really it is because he was exposed saying he’s a communist. They did not want the public knowing Obama put a communist into the White House.
So now Beck does not quite “get it” as far as I am concerned. He ignores questioning her knowledge of and commitment to the constitution and goes for the petty truther thing. Unlike Jones she is not a communist nor is she a socialist. She is a constitutionalist.
This is back to the silly gottcha politics of the small minded. Beck would do the same to a “birther” if given the chance. His concern should be focused on the larger cause of whether she is a communist/socialist or supports the constitution and what ideas she offers to solve problems in these economic times.
If he wants to lower himself and all the good work he’s done to this level of “truther” or “birther” witch hunts - his choice. I have no use for that. People like that on TV are a dime a dozen. One O’Stupid is enough. Beck came on as if he was interested in creating something bigger. He’s not.
Then let’s all do this: Any Freeper who thinks Oswald didn’t kill Kennedy shouldn’t be allowed on this website. It’s the exact same thing.
Agreed?
Is she advocating secession? If she is, that would have been far more worthy of Beck’s attention, as it has to do with constitutional issues, than the “truther gottcha” O’BigMouth nonsense.
Not even close.
If you hum a few bars, I might get your point...
What truth, then, are you talking about? Fact is the Medina was given several chances to say “yes” or “No,” and several times avoided giving an answer.
The quality of the vaccine is the main issue. Before I could enroll in school in Texas at age 6, I was required to get vaccinated for small pox. This is no longer required because the risk of getting the disease from the vaccine is greater than from getting if from all other sources. But when the vaccination was mandated, every year some children would get the pox from the vaccine.
Is Rhetoric one of the many curricula now permanently removed from Public Education?
It is hard to believe people can not understand a "gotcha" media attack.
Best regards
What sucession are you talking about. As far as I know the candidate has not advocated that.
As a scientist and engineer trained in critical thinking will you share your definition of "truther" with me?
Many thanks.
Okay, when somebody uses that phrase in a headline, it’s no fun if we don’t actually have photo or video evidence of the “DOWN GOES FRAZIER! DOWN GOES FRAZIER!” moment.
And it shouldn’t be a metaphor.
Tongue in cheek, I think. Someone accused Perry of advocating secession.
