Medina?

Had some moments and I like her personally. But, she ain’t ready for primetime. She doesn’t have the grasp of the entire situation needed.

IT IS PERRY. The first vote I ever cast as an adult was for Kay taking Bentson’s seat and I will never regret it. Different times today though as Texas is even more conservative and originalist than it was a decade ago. We want small government, stout borders, and less D.C. than ever before. Leave us alone!

Perry is the best at trying to assure that. Kay, now, unfortunately is not and Debra is a poof........

Is there a write in candidate for Texas Governor...?

Bill White should be available come the general in Nov. Probably be a Libertarian on the ballot also as they usually field candidates to several spots.

Geez, calm down. I tried to follow the thread and watch the playoff game at the same time. I thought you were putting your trust in Perry to close the borders. I don’t think Medina could do any worse than what we have now, do you?

At least she brings a fresh approach to the problem and maybe you will hear more solutions from her in the upcoming debate. You seem to like her position on states rights, so try to watch the debate next week.

Now go get some rest and chill out.

She is open-borders, she falls into the libertarian mold on that like Jesse Ventura’s stance comparing a border fence to the Berlin Wall.

Got proof?

I would love to have an upset in Texas. Someone I would really get excited about voting for.

But for me, Medina ain’t it.

She says a lot of things we want to hear...but can’t be done, IMHO.

Of course, Perry and KBH do the same thing. But I’m not jumping on the “throw them out of office” bandwagon until there is a viable candidate.

No - you go chill out ... Yes - Medina could do worse... she has an allegiance to Hispanics... Not to ALL THE PEOPLE - ALL THE TIME...

No candidate can ever be allowed again to play ethno-centric political games ... SCREW THE BIG TENT propaganda... Screw Medina -— recruit Americans - with Conservative ideas and ideals...

Perry is a ‘politico’ who breaks all his promises - he is a know entity - Perry can be counted upon to screw us - we see him coming...

Perry will not keep any promises that he made to any group of illegal alien loving Texas Hispanics - unlike Media who has an obligation to do so.

Perry is predictable - Perry is a known jerk who will screw anyone - any group for anything... Perry has become a mostly harmless Toad... his Trans Texas Illegal Alien Highway - went kaput... (despite what Hutchison says in her ads)... And Perry won’t get it back...

Perry can hang around for a few more years - do little harm... wishing and hoping for National political office - all in vain... all the while not realizing that on the national scene - Palin and Brown have made him irrelevant.

Medina just does not understand that WE THE PEOPLE do actually pay attention to the details - especially when the details on certain issues are just WEASEL WORDS...

I’m cynical about potential candidates who don’t have a past voting record with which one can judge true beliefs.

Didn’t Kay B. Hutchison talk like a conservative, too? And how disappointed are conservative Texans with her?

At least she has a record to judge her by before everyone goes to vote this time around. So does Perry. I wouldn’t vote for either, knowing what I know now about their records.

With a new candidate, one you can only judge by their speeches and online statements, it’s like a crap shoot.

Good luck, Texas!

Perhaps like a conserviative but not a Conservative.

Huge difference.

If a Conservative goes squishy the worst they get is conservative.

You know, we are all united by what we want for Texas and for the nation: safety, prosperity, freedom, pursuit of happiness.

The reason we are engaged in sharing information and posting opinions and comments is because we are all people of action. We don’t sit idly by while we lose our way. We are all trying to chart a course to return to The Bill of Rights set out by the founding fathers.

On that common ground let’s respect one another and join forces without personal affronts to how we are getting there. We have this tool to transmit information and to gather as a united force to direct our state and our nation.
Thank God for the internet.

I appreciate all factual information and if I post something in error I absolutely want to know aboout it. I also want to learn all I can about candidates running for election and about actions being taken that I may be able to join in.

We all know these things...just wanted to post a reminder that we are really on the same page at the most important level.

What choice do we have?

Medina ad:

“Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?” (Medina’s cultural heritage is German and Bohemian.)

She told a colleague last month in an e-mail. “Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.” But before she explained that, she told my colleage, who had asked her whether she considers herself Latina: “I’d not consider myself anything other than a wife and mother, a nurse and a patriot. I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.”

No, Thanks, Mrs Medina.

She is also running Spanish ads. Hello Mrs.Medina! If they cannot speak English then they have no business voting IMO. When they learn English then let them vote. Assimilate. Learn English. Appreciate all America gives you.

So I’m sure she is blowing a lot of hot air just like Obama did just to get elected. Running those ads and saying what she has, tells me the border issue is just a try to get votes for herself.

No, thanks, I’ll stick with ‘ol RINO Perry. Texas has remained in better shape than almost any if not all of the states in the union under Perry's watch. As someone said, 'he's the devil we know'.

The motly crew running for governor is laughable; a MUSLIM, a trecherous RINO woman* (Hutchison) and a woman with questionable loyalties

*Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress “One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”
