I lurked since the beginning of October, 1998, learned about the March for Justice, and travelled to DC from NJ to attend it to join the voices of those calling for the impeachment of a President who had broken the law. How thrilling it was to arrive at the Washington Monument on Oct. 31, 1998 to see a sea of flags and 4,000 patriots!Good times!

The buttons from 1998-2000 were the BEST!
I still have a few—one of them shows the Washington Monument on a slant being raised like the flag on Iwo Jima from the DC Chapter!
Good to “see” you Angelwood-you were and still are a stalwart of the DC Chapter. Hope 2010 is a wonderful year for you!

BP, thanks so much for the picture of the MFJ. What great memories.
Looks like we are still needed in 2010! Hope we can come up with some great activities. April 15th in DC is just around the corner!
Happy New Year to a longtime pillar of the DC Chapter!

I' so jealous of you folks who are signed on from '98.
I signed on around that time under another nick but it has been so darn long ago I can't remember what it was.

Started lurking in July. Heard about Free public and the Drudge Report from the Jim Quinn show. Drudge used to have a link to Free Republic back in those days. I had just bought my first computer at the end of June.
The reason I didn't sign up sooner was that Free Republic was inferred to be a radical anti government site, and that if you joined, you would be flagged by the government as a radical.
I examined my philosophy and decided that "Yes, I am anti government in it's present form" and signed up.
This government is still anti American and I am still anti government in it's present form. Looks like I will still be here a bit longer.
Happy New Year!
PS. Wal Mart got ammo and there are no crowds.
