Which statement is closer to your thinking, the first one, or the second one? I disagree with your fist statement, I agree with your second statement - we should not support the GOP, no matter what, but there are many, many good Conservative Republicans we SHOULD support!

I think I've managed to confuse you - when I say support it as a whole, that means giving a blank check to whatever the current GOP leadership wants to do and signing off on wherever they plan on moving the party, which has been to the left.

You and I probably agree more than you realize - I would rather people look at Republicans individually rather than declaring blind allegiance to the party. That's something typically characteristic of Democrats and should not be done by Republicans - Republicans need to only support those candidates who are truly Conservative, rather than automatically supporting anybody with an (R) next to their name.

I also think, and this is where you and I may take different paths, that if you are faced with a Democrat, a RINO, and a conservative third party, that you should always support the conservative, because as I said in JR's thread about Conservatives, a vote for a liberal with an (R) next to their name is still a vote for a liberal. The only difference between a liberal with a (D) and a liberal with an (R) is how fast they are going to get you to socialism. They both still want to take you there, one's just a little slower than the other.
