I'm sure you would, and I have no doubt the thought of it would cross your mind and maybe even linger a while. And no one would fault you for that.
But the fact that you use the word "capable" suggests that you would probably opt for a more civilized and legal way of dealing with it.
Would you be OK with a man attacking an unfaithful wife with a golf club?
Apologies for not giving credit where credit is due. I wouldn't say that you are of no consequence...you just don't have as big a megaphone as most pundits. I think we'll agree though that yours (as well as mine) is a minority opinion.
Well - if I did go after anyone with a golf club, it would be up to either me to fess up to the police - or up to the hubby to tell on me and press charges.
Neither Elin nor Tiger are talking - so what are you going to do?
Another astute observation from you. Yes, the Cos was raked over the coals, and neither the public nor media care one bit how it affects their loved ones either. I believe it was never proved that the gal was his “love child” and his wife Camille stood by him.
You and I, Scotswife, do not agree on Tiger being a jerk. I responded to your post because it looked like you were trying to gain insight to the situation. I don’t have any basis for judging him as you do.
Some sluts are coming forward to tell tales and get their piece of the fortune. IF the sluts did have sex with Tiger, they knew he was married and had kids, but the fame and money turned them on. Now, once again, with disregard for his marriage and children, the sluts “speak out” and cash in some more. Were these not consensual relationships?
Okay, so we’ve ruled out any criminal behavior on his part. If he was stupid and irresponsible, that needs to be explained, and he recognizes his “transgressions.”
Moreover, I think Elin’s readiness to resort to physical violence tells us a bit about her. She may have done so before. It may indicate a temperament that drove Tiger to other women. I’m not making excuses but trying to look at the reality.
The bottom line is that the way this is playing out and being played by others makes me more sympathetic to Tiger. I think he is being royally had by a lot of people, and I only hope he can get back on his game.
I didn’t claim illegal behavior on Tiger’s part.
I don’t know what your definition of “jerk” is.
Maybe my jerk tolerance is lower than yours.
Dropping f-bombs in front of people on a regular basis?
jerk.
Watching as 12 men move a boulder out of your way rather than being a sportsmen and taking the penalthy?
jerk.
And then of course - there is the massive reports of not one dalliance - but numerous dalliances.
Exposing your spouse to disease and humiliation?
ultra-jerk.
I do not buy into the typical FReeper/male response that “oh - he must not have been taken care of at home, wink wink”
or “Oh - maybe she’s crazy”
or “oh - she drove him away”
There once was a time when adults were expected to grow up - to treat their spouses with dignity and respect.
Tiger is a boy - and a spoiled rotten boy at that.
It appears no one taught this boy that marriage is about self sacrifice.
That - when children come along - dynamics can change and the wife will obviously be focused on children as well as husband.
No - it appears Tiger, somewhere somehow got the notion that marriage is all about sex.
Tiger had a self sacrificing father who put his heart and soul into his son.
It’s too bad Tiger wasn’t more of a man and stopped to consider his own children over the past few years.
Victor, I thought they were throwing Tiger to the chicks?!
