Results are in on last week's poll (Should KSM and other 9/11 terrorists be tried six blocks from the WTC or by a military tribunal?) Check it out when you register your opinion on this week's poll at www.daveweinbaum.com.

“I hope she doesn’t (run), because I think she could do a lot for America outside of office,” Wurzelbacher said. “And I think she could rally Americans to get together and make some changes from the grassroots level. I think she could be an incredible rallying point, and I think that’s where she could serve America best.”
I agree. She should play kingmaker

My only problem then is: if not Sarah, then who?
I'm not even remotely excited about anyone else in the field.

I think it’s too early to be pushing that question.
Don’t jump in my stuff as I do like Sarah Palin. She is the gal that see’s something wrong, and doesn’t sit on her ass complaining, but does something about it. God Bless her for that.
She is obviously a good Conservative. I like her for that as well.
I’m simply in the wait and see mode as there is plenty of time yet.

I’m in “wait and see” mode for how things shake out in the run up, but...
LAST thing I want is just another used car salesman type with “appropriate gravitas” and nice sounding voice and well schooled in all the right words to say to whatever audience he’s talking to at the time.
And, so far, other than Sarah Palin, that’s all I see in the GOP.

At least Sarah is not an American hiding from her past and consorting with our enemies, trying to bring down America. The Media has led America to a fool.

I agree, also
Sarah should become stronger and stronger as the voice of traditional America and stand up for its values and inspire good people to action, not resignation and acceptance
If she were to run for the Presidency she would be crucified (figuratively) and made powerless by the haters

at this time, no... i mean, it’s a free country, and if she wants to, then she ought to feel free... but at this point in time, i don’t think she would be successful...

The grassroots already have their act together very nicely. Each one doing their part. And this guy thinks that where she could best serve? Another one AFRAID of Sarah.
I want Sarah to run but Sarah does not know if she will run. And far as this Wurzelbacher goes, he can go scratch off! He's clueless on what the grassroots have already done - so any opinion from him is worthless.

Pandering to the will of the haters is what’s gotten us to this place. The only candidates who wouldn’t be hated by the haters, loudly, violently and proudly, are those who are known to be quislings to the haters.
Give em an inch and they’ll take everything you value in life.

Oh, she should run allright, over the backs of liberals with the sharpest high heels she can find, stopping from time to time to do the twist while they shout.
To: nutsonthebus
Should she make a bid for the presidency in 2012? Idiotic poll! When you lump the people who say "I want her to run and win" in with the people who say "I want her to run so the Dims can win", you get a poll result that is meaningless...

We still have 3 years until the next presidential cycle...but I do not see much--if any--hope that there'll be another chance in 2016.
By then, too much damage will be done to our Freedoms and American way of life. The only way that such liberties can be regained is, I must confess, by American blood being shed as it was over +230 years ago.
And I am willing to lose mine if that is what the cost for no more tyranny and foreign domination upon this GOD's-Gracefully-blessed-land.

Your point about this being an idiotic question is excellent. Many polls lead to questionable interpretations.
As for the question about Governor Palin running for president, I have a very, very favorable opinion of this woman. My mind is definitely open to her candidacy.
To: nutsonthebus
I think she should take over Oprah’s time slot when she retires.

I think Joe the Plumber might disagree.

Sarah can be both kingmaker and a candidate. If Sarah runs and win then she will be President. If she runs and loses she can endorse the remaining candidate who best matches her views.

I liked the poll because it allowed you to give personalized feedback. I wrote that I think she should run because it would help her get her message out.
