GOP women: smart, attractive, empathetic. Rat women: ugly, lesbian, into baby killing, ruthless, deceitful, angry at life, vengeful and proud of the chip on their shoulder.

This “woman” (if I, with a straight face, can call Wasserman that) is criminal stupid.

Especially considering that two of the Republican party’s strongest draws are both women...and mothers of five (+23 foster children in Bachmann’s case)

Her comments are what lead woman to rethink a lot of classical feminist positions. My wife who always had a rather casual view of politics was appalled at the treatment of Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin during the last presidential cycle. My wife is an university professor with a doctorate and definitely doesn’t meet the criteria that Wasserman is talking about. I personally don’t think woman are equal to men. I think they are better than that. Having been reared by and around strong women(grandmother, mother, aunts, sister, wife and daughters) all my life I find her remarks pathetic. I realize she has a constituency of victims who buy into her cannards but hopefully strong women will stand up to this generalized characterization.

But that doesn't necessarily make them appealing to independent and moderate women, says Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), herself a rising star among a larger class of Democratic women.

Uh, she is not a rising star...maybe among a small group of kooks, maybe. But politico is loony if they think DWS is a hero to ANYONE.

See, what I think happens is the fine women of the GOP make inroads and headlines, while the pathetic libs in the Democrat ranks are boring and ignored--so the media tries to make a hero out of any idiot lib.
